  1. Then they'll just set up a proxy on their home domain.
  2. I have family in the US but there's no way I'm visiting them for the foreseeable future.

The US is quickly sliding into the thing they claim to despise: a dictatorship with a populace cowering for their safety and lacking general human rights.

    Good luck, America.

  3. > Great learnings.

    Lessons. The word is lessons.

  4. "Land of the free. Home of the brave."
  5. Samsung?

Disclaimer: not touched a Samsung device in over a decade

  6. Works just fine for me. Perhaps consider moving to a bank that's more aware of alternates than just the existing duopoly.
  7. I wonder if the ZKP stuff could be added to [Magic Lantern](https://www.magiclantern.fm/)?
  8. He paid for the airline ticket. That included food, airport taxes, landing fees, etc. The WiFi access is negligible in the overall scheme of things.
  9. They're in discussions with an OEM to produce their own device.
  10. That's because Limewire is a client and not a server. If you wanted decent share ratios you needed to update your firewall to allow the correct inbound ports (or leave UPnP on (bad idea)).

A self-hosted server is an entirely different beast. You're right, it's not easy to setup and run -- but that's the world we live in. Malicious actors have ruined something that could have been relatively easy and automated to setup and run; even the most experienced of us wouldn't stand against professional penetration testers or nation states.

  11. We're talking about end-to-end encrypted data here. It doesn't matter if LE have the company's data because it's just a scrambled mess. They don't have the keys to decrypt it. They only exist on the users' devices.

Chat Control seeks to execute on each and every device before/after encryption so it has access to the data pre/post encryption.

  12. Spudger? I hardly know her!
  13. Windows 3.11 was released in 1993.

Don't mess with the timeline, Marty!

  14. I VPN home where I run Piholes and block all outbound DNS, DoT and port 443 to known DoH hosts.

    Works like a charm.

  15. Or just disable notifications for the various apps you don't want to hear from.
  16. The same is true for Android.
  17. > I find that had to believe.

    Inconceivable!
