  1. No it's not. The whole presentation of it is confusing. Sorry.
  2. Maybe Open AI shouldn't be so stabable?
  3. I think it sucks. Sorry to be the harbinger of negative opinion, but that's just what I feel about it.
  4. Requires sign-in the moment you want to explore. Hard no from me. Cooking is even harder when you have to deal with mandatory sign-ins.
  5. You also need good writers who by example make it perfectly clear what's what.
  6. I don't know if it's perfect, but I have yet to meet anything better. I discovered it late in my 20-year technical writing career, and it felt like meeting an old friend for the first time.
  7. The trouble with DITA is that it is very often accompanied by its own very opinionated toolchain, although of course it's not mandatory. There are better ways to write docs nowadays than wrestle with XSL/FO and its brethren.
  8. I've found https://diataxis.fr/ to be an excellent framework on which to hang documentation efforts. It helps you to understand what kinds of documentation resources help users most.
  9. Good article, made less so by the over-large and gratuitous stock photos.
  10. Me too, fifty years ago in Wales
  11. Surely a berth certificate?
  12. In the UK, the situation is more extreme, where every so-called 'startup' I find is either working in the payments industry (... truly a new furrow to plough /s) or the coin industry.
  13. A gadget you fill with water and put in a microwave oven and the water gets turned into ice cubes.
  14. I have learned that it makes sense to hire less good looking people, other things being roughly equal. Very attractive people - both men and women - are a distraction to a workforce of young, single people, and lots of flirting in the office can get toxic very quickly. Furthermore, if two people appear to be equally qualified for a job, you can bet your bottom dollar that the uglier one had to work harder to get there. To my knowlege, there is no law against discriminating on an attractiveness basis, as long as both men and women are treated equally.
  15. To a rough approximation, your site isn't going to go viral.
  16. How about some up-front pricing for the non-free courses?
