  1. They mean the premium subscription, not channel subscriptions.
  2. 40% might just mean nothing because your core is probably not running at full clock.
  3. There's eu(maybe even EEA?) wide free roaming legally mandated since I think 2017 or so? But it's not a permanent solution, your second paragraph still holds true.
  4. The labor of ass to ttml is there yeah. But the the factors are n_videos * languages * 2 Formats. And considering these are pretty compressible text(34MB->4MB for a completely bonkers sub track that includes animations, animated fonts and otherwise transformed text). I can't imagine that hosting costs cost more than their analysis.
  5. Except ASS streams really aren't that big and don't have to be stored with each encode. They can just be in a separate file. And this is how cr used to serve them. Before they used hardware drm you could just download all of the separate sub tracks.

You don't need to multiply anything here, except the number of sub streams. One is ass, the other the primitive standards Netflix and other surges use.

  6. Mine indeed does not contain a similar phrase, it says pretty much the opposite. I guess Luther wasn't interested in the end days much.

But then if the first flood came after excessive sin, is the way to hasten the arrival of the end times another time of sin? That explains a lot ig

  7. How does it do that? It just says to keep calm and carry on because hecklers will not understand that God wants everyone to have a chance. Or am I missing context, it's been a couple of years since I've been in church(and a reformed protestant one at that)
  8. Oh I know and I absolutely hate it. I can't think of a good argument for these changes. They're just not worse than what has always prevented me from owning IOS devices
  9. Aren't Google just matching Apple with the signing and notarization bullshit? Except Google is free?
  10. Certainly are in Germany. Many even give you a small coupon in return, so you can spend more money at the overpriced gas station kiosk.
  11. Google play store has a search button that's even reachable with only one hand. It's just not obvious that you can tap the search label in the bottom tab bar a second time to focus the search text field.
  12. > This created an ugly split in the ecosystem because if you were using Container<X> you could not pass it to an old API that expected a Container.

Correct me if I'm wrong but allowing this would mean the called api might insert objects wholly unrelated to X. This would break every assumption you make about the container's contents. Why would this ever be allowed or wanted?

  13. I hate to be like this, but no it's not(at least not on my windows 10/11 work laptop). It is not active globally, the Teams window containing the call has to be active(on my system).

And it would be a problem if it was, as ctrl shift is the default binding for show suggestions in IntelliJ and Rider.

All of the following you've already mentioned but I forgot you mentioning them in my rage at MS. Figuring out if I'm holding it wrong or not revealed another silly issue however: the push to talk button is hard coded to ctrl space, unlike other keybinds it doesn't show up in the keybinds dialog.

  14. There's a bunch of annoyances in teams. The text editor is awful if you try to paste/send code for one. The screen sharing is shit by default and only lets one person share at a time for no good reason. It's fairly slow. And it doesn't have a global fucking hot key for push to talk/muting. Despite being integrated with the damn task bar(which is broken if you're on hold in one call and active in another, then it's too stupid to figure out that the mute button is intended to mute my active call, not the one that's on hold...). Also the teams feature gets out of your way, which is an issue if you're trying to use it like you would channels in discord or slack. Would be nice to at least have a notification pip there.
  15. Opel is a German brand with a German headquarters and production, iirc, primarily in Germany.
  16. To jailbreak you need to be imprisoned. Since your only crime was buying an iPhone it presents apple as the tyrant. I think the term fits
  17. I think you meant to write anti choice not pro choice.
  18. And it's sensitive to dynamic scaling as well, isn't it? So it's possibly not 60% of a core at max clock, but maybe of a core clocked to 800mhz or something.

I fell for that shallow analysis myself once when I noticed just how apparently bad the gpu usage was for a big of animation in a web page, until I noticed my 30% load gpu still drew as much wattage as it did on idle.

  19. Not only is it not a very small phone, I can't even properly type this message one handed. It's also not a good phone which I regret purchasing.

Zenphones until the 10 had easy to unlock bootloaders, leading to long in official support by the community. However with the 10 ASUS stopped that tool and they've been lying ever since that they're still working on it.

My zenfone is now on its final major android update, the rather minor android 15 version, and I've only got two years of security updates left until I need to look for a new phone. That's one thousand euros for barely four years of software support, it's such a disappointment.

That aside the camera is lackluster, it's auto whitebalance is horrific, turning the same snowy scene into a sunset or illuminated by fluorescent light depending on the phase of the moon and it's sampling questionable making images much more blurry in a surreal way. But the optical stabilisation is seriously impressive. Overall I preferred the pixel 4a's images though. A smaller phone and my zenfone's predecessor.

At least I get to just plug it into my stereo thanks to the 3.5mm jack though.

  20. In addition to the other concerns of evaporative cooling, there is one issue with a simple water cooled loop that just runs river water through a heat exchanger and then dumps it again. You can only raise a river's temperature so much before it becomes a problem for the ecosystem. This issue has in the past forced power plant shutdowns, so it's not that simple.
