  1. I have a friend who worked in a company that got "not acquired" in a similar deal.

She didn't see a dime out of it, and was let off (together with a big chunk of people) within 6 months.

  2. A new model doesn't address the fundamental reliability issues with OpenAI's enterprise tier.

As an enterprise customer, the experience has been disappointing. The platform is unstable, support is slow to respond even when escalated to account managers, and the UI is painfully slow to use. There are also baffling feature gaps, like the lack of connectors for custom GPTs.

None of the major providers have a perfect enterprise solution yet, but given OpenAI's market position, the gap between expectations and delivery is widening.

  3. Soon to be followed by Google Knows
  4. > just a GPT wrapper

Cursor's tab auto complete isn't, and it's the greatest strength point of the product

  5. It's in the Lightricks repo, and your CEO just posted above.
  6. curious - which forum is this?
  7. Israel (il-central-1) is also missing.
  8. How do this compare (or differ) to PartyKit?
  9. It can't right now, but this is a doable extension
  10. Found the answer:

    > Stich said there is a space suit already on the ISS that one of the astronauts can use for the return trip, and the Crew 9 mission will bring another suit.

    https://fortune.com/2024/08/24/boeing-starliner-astronauts-n...

  11. What's the suit situation here? Did SpaceX make two new suits for them to use on the way back, or are they using their Boeing suits to fly back?

I'd imagine the former, but genuinely curious this time.

  12. Why is there a waiting list if it's open source?
  13. Disagree. Those suits look much thinner and faster to move in than the current NASA ones, not to mention they can open and close their visors pretty easily.
  14. Sounds awfully like my first job, with the addition of not having _any_ sort of test - functional, integration or unit. Nothing.

A few months in, when I approached the CTO and asked if I could start writing a test framework, he deemed it a waste of time and said "by the time you'd commit the test, it would go out of date and you'd need to rewrite it".

Naturally, the build would break about 5 times a week.

Boeing was a major customer of this system, so when shit hit the fan at Boeing a while ago, I wasn't surprised.

  15. Love your extension! There's definitely room for it
  16. same - I noticed it again as I was reading this article
  17. I clicked on "Talk", but the textbox just says "Preparing to speak..." without doing anything else
  18. I much prefer the new generation Lime ones. Their center of gravity is lower, they have front wheel suspension, and they acceleration is smoother.
