- Articles? Headlines? I go right to the comments!
- As much as I love using Notion, they have a terrible track record when it comes to dealing with and responding to security issues.
- Not having to drive?
- Or gets better all the time …
- That was my point exactly. I just didn’t write it as precisely as you.
- Accountability is the difference.
- I thank Apple every day for adding dark mode to the native PDF viewer for this exact reason.
- Reddit itself can and still do ban users at site-level.
- You can, but it does replace meaningful irl connection with other humans.
- Never really learned it. Still struggling.
- As a twitch reaction I’m inclined to agree, but I’ve found the quality of AI generated readmes typically far exceed those created by humans. Yes, some emojis and fluff are to be expected, but also great structure, fully documented CLI arguments, loads of examples and easy to get started guidelines.
It does however indicate that likely the code is also fully or at best partially written by the same LLM.
- I've been building specific tools in languages and frameworks I don't understand, nor have ever found time to learn. So the producitvity boost is hard to measure; its a "what's 0 times how fast the LLM can do it" type of answer.
- Thought the same! Was a bit interested in learning Nix for a moment.
- It reminded me so much of the Goldeneye N64 menu and I got hit with a wave of nostalgia!
- I’m honestly not sure, but comparing an LLM to a child or a «junior developer» is becoming a trope at this point. I think we can have interesting discussions around its capabilities without reducing advanced technology down to these leaky abstractions.
- How would that lead to any kind of discussion? With this logic, everybody would ignore things they disagree with and only comment on things they agree with. Maybe I misunderstood the comment.
- Interesting!
- Privacy Badger, 1Password, HTTPS Everywhere, Dark Reader, to name a few.
- I wasn’t offended in any way, shape or form. I don’t want you to change your previous message. It’s all good.
- I’m not following
- I enjoy the bug too. I’m just tired of people talking about ChatGPT as if it was a human or otherwise sentient being. That’s all.
- Fair point
- Being kind involves using words like please. I was not snarky and if I came across that way I apologize. I am curious why people keep doing this even though I might not have conversed it that way.
- No. There are many good, secure browser extensions.
- It's extremely good at explaining technical things like solving programming problems.
- Please stope anthropomorphizing LLMs like this. Its so tiring.
- You ask it to explain its reasoning step by step. This has also proven to yield more accurate results. Look into Chain of Thought
- They have. There was a post on HN earlier today about a 17% decrease or something on SO.
- There is one. OpenAI has not yet given you access (waitlist).
