  1. There are community servers, official matchmaking was killed off.
  2. Makes sense as they invested billions into Rivian to get access to their software.
  3. Firefox has vertical tabs now, but they are still behind a feature flag I think. Using them for some time now and it's working great.
  4. What was the issue with your setup? TV not in game mode?
  5. The new screen option for the 13" model has a much better webcam.
  6. The new Cosmic is written from scratch in Rust with the iced GUI library.
  7. You don't have to run the web interface on the server.

    You can use Cockpit Client (from flathub) to connect with SSH.

  8. Dolphin has "selection mode" for a while now. I like that in combination with single click open.

  9. Steam fractional scaling should work since their big UI update a few months ago. Try launching Steam with this environment variable: STEAM_FORCE_DESKTOPUI_SCALING=1.5
  10. It's the same. They dropped the "Next" some time ago.
  11. Which compositor are you using?

    If it's Gnome, the very recent release 45 has improvements running the cursor in a separate thread.

    I personally run KDE and agree that you can feel a difference between the X11 and Wayland session but it's not terrible.

  12. For Spotify Connect on a headless Pi I can recommend Raspotify:

  13. With GTK you can at least drag the window by grabbing controls in the titlebar.
  14. I set a 10 second timeout for systemd-boot so I don't need to button mash to hit the narrow window of the UEFI bootloader.

    Another useful feature would be editing kernel parameters for troubleshooting. Not sure if systemd-boot can do that but GRUB can.

  15. > Do they still restrict nonfree audio/video codecs?

    Yes they do. If you don't like to use RPMfusion you could use something like the mpv flatpak from flathub that has all codecs bundled.

  16. The in-app browsers could use a domain whitelist if parental controls are turned on.
  17. What forces you to use Wayland? Just curious because usually people are forced to stay on X.
  18. There is a setting to always draw on top somewhere in the menubar. Saved me a couple of times.
  19. > It's a pain to use when working with multiple (source independent) projects simultaneously. E.g. a library project and the main project. Eclipse lets you open anything you want to in the same window and presents them in the same explorer view.

    That's a common confusion about IntelliJ.

    Eclipse Workspace -> IntelliJ Project

    Eclipse Project -> IntelliJ Module

    In IntelliJ create an empty Project and import all your Maven or Gradle projects as Modules. Everything in one window :)

  20. JetBrains has their own tool called 'Toolbox' to install and update their software (and Android Studio). With Toolbox you are in control when and what to update and you can install multiple versions at the same time.

    It's distributed as AppImage for Linux. Very much recommended.

  21. You can get every of those devices with Linux support with a bit of research before buying. It's not the fault of Linux if the manufacturer of your hardware doesn't care about the platform.
  22. The core of Qt is licensed under LGPL which means you can write and ship proprietary software with it. You just need to dynamically link and provide sources for the Qt libs if a user requests it.
