- _ink_ parentI have Aphantasia and SDAM, so how I experience memories is vastly different from most others. But even for me music helps me to recall memories otherwise lost. I also discovered this trick and use it to get reminded of certain memories or people.

- The issue I see is that companies have limited liability. If they mess up, they can just go bankrupt and sometimes pass the cleanup costs on to society.
Therefore, I think it’s fair that society wants to have a say in what gets done and what doesn’t.
Maybe a way around this would be companies operating without limited liability. Would you be willing to put your entire fortune on the line in exchange for a fast track through regulations?
Edit: to clarify: I’m not arguing that all companies should lose limited liability. I’m suggesting the introduction of a new type of company structure.

- I like the workflow with Codex more. Though I like working with Claude more. So I wish Anthropic would copy the Codex workflow.
I like that Codex commits using your identity as if it was your changes. And I like that you can interact with it directly from the PR as if it was a team member.
- If I close my eyes I see the inner of my eye lids. Interestingly very intense visual stimuli can trigger mental images for me. I remember that when I closed my eyes after endless hours of Counterstrike, I would still see the game, tho I couldn't control what I see. Same goes for porn. Sometimes I remember my dreams, which are visual, but I don't think that I experience any other sense while dreaming. As kid I had lucid dreams, which I was stunned of, because of the amount of details I remembered. I just looked at faces of people I knew. Lucid dreaming is still something which I want to try to train.
- Citation needed, I guess. There are studies that show that social media platforms drift to extreme content automatically. In Austria there went from a vanilla tiktok account to extreme right wing content, in every county, just by doom scrolling.
And what happens if you see this content constantly? Not only to adults but also to teenagers?
- Unfortunately we are more divided then ever. The algorithms place each of use in its own little echo chamber. And micro targeting makes it easy for people with money to control what each of us is fed in their bubble. Stay united. Don't give up over their perceived power. Don't be a sucker. Easier said, then done.
- > LLMs are terrible at asking questions. They just make a bunch of assumptions and brute-force something based on those guesses.
I don't agree with that. When I am telling Claude Code to plan something I also mention that it should ask questions when informations are missing. The questions it comes up with a really good, sometimes about cases I simply didn't see. To me the planning discussion doesn't feel much different than in a GitLab thread, only at a much higher iteration speed.

- > I feel like there's more to aphantasia than just "can you see the apple or not?".
There is. I think the definition is still being worked on. Here is an overview, but I don't see your particular case: https://aphantasia.com/article/science/aphantasia-definition...
Since you can recall scenes you saw, it might not be Aphantasia. Not being able to create visuals of random stuff might be called differently.
