  1. It sure is a nice walled garden, but it can also be pretty restrictive: You can’t subscribe to iCloud from a regular browser, which makes those privacy benefits inaccessible from Linux, while Apple is perfectly happy to take my payment info for Apple Music or Apple TV.
  2. Broadcast errors are not only interesting to watch, they also made TV feel human and alive. Nowadays, watching most cable channels feels like staring at the output of a VLC playlist with ten movies on loop.
  3. GNOME maintains GNOME OS.
  4. There's waypipe.
  5. I can't unban myself from the demo :)
  6. I am reading it wrong, or the math doesn't add up? Shouldn't it be 138240 GB not 138240 TB?
  7. WhatsApp disabled creating screenshots of profile pictures (this annoyed my grandmother), but it cannot really do this when using through the web interface.
  8. It looks like we're both wrong, time flies!

    >Safari 5.1.7 for Windows, released in 2010 and now outdated, was the last version made for Windows. https://support.apple.com/en-us/102665

  9. What? You tested a PWA against a Safari version from 2012 and it worked? That's funny.
  10. The mGBA PC emulator supports running the Game Boy Camera ROM and passing video from a webcam or from a still image you select. I think some GB emulators on Android also support this, but I haven't tried them.
  11. Anecdata, but I think this method is popular with Steam phishing sites. I have received a few links that mimicked the Steam web login prompt with a Windows window appareance.
  12. Epic Games acquired and recently discontinued Houseparty, a video chat app. https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Houseparty_(app)
  13. You are thinking Rocky Linux, which was founded by Gregory Kurtzer (the original founder of CentOS). AlmaLinux is a CloudLinux project. Both are great!
  14. I've started using darkhttpd[1] recently, it's simple and compiles quickly to one binary, it supports directory listings and supports range requests.

  15. Try using one of the few alternative front-ends like Teddit or Libreddit
  16. KDE disables compositing when SDL apps are opened to improve performance. It should return once the app is closed. You can disable this behavior in System Settings > Display and Monitor > Compositor and unchecking Allow applications to block compositing.
