  1. I just wanted an API client with some basic features:

    - history

    - grouping/folders

    - some very basic api key management

Is that too much to ask or does every company need to indefinitely grow?

  2. I have seen these discussions in companies where privacy is the selling point.

These kind of questions usually come from non-engineers, people in product or sales who see privacy as a feature or marketing point, and if the ROI is higher they don't give a fuck and would pitch anything that would make a buck

  3. i have a roborock and pretty much every moving part is replaceable and unofficial parts are available on aliexpress for dirt cheap
  4. that's what makes it funnier
  5. To get something of a lockfile you can use the hash of the version you want to pin your dependencies:

  6. I'm not minimizing the amount of effort it takes to curate links, but does a mailing list need to constantly grow for it to be viable ? What does it mean to "operate at a loss" in this case ?
  7. if they can go around burning money on vanity projects, maybe that means they're charging me too much !
  8. Blast from the past ! I remember building my last J2ME project ~2012 and struggling to find a Nokia phone to test it
  9. my understanding from reading this kind of threads is that there is no real way to enforce it and the provider makes no guarantees, as your usage can outpace the system that is handling the accounting and shutoff
  10. Nice seeing you around here =) been a while !
  11. Tunisians claim they can understand Maltese with minimum effort, is it reciprocal? How close is Maltese to arabic / tunisian dialect ?
  12. Can someone explain to me how such an "economy" can grow so large ? How many people actually care about the skin of the CS knife or gun?
  13. back in the day, I had an automated Github action that would pull and build a polyfill.io image every time there was a tagged release

You don't even need to fork the project, you can just extend / distribute

  14. On the other hand LangGraph and LangChain are an absolute pain to use and you end up spending most of your effort in boilerplate hell if you want to stitch together anything useful
  15. 100$ / year for comments ? I'm guessing this is not aimed at small blogs with a couple of posts a year
  16. I've gotten into heated conversations with family members because they insist on only using Facebook Messenger and can't understand why I don't want to be on that platform
  17. my interaction with docker is limited to a make file that has a `docker-compose up` command, would podman work if the rest of my team is still on docker ?
