I don't like many policies of the current government including the way opposition is treated. But I think this specific statement should be down voted due to both denigrating tea sellers and presenting wrong facts. Modi is currently PM for 2 terms because he is able to outsmart his opponents both inside his own party and in opposition. It hardly matters if he was selling tea at some point in his life. He is not uneducated. In India one can find many smart guys without formal education and many dumb guys with stellar degrees. Arvind Kejriwal's party i.e. AAP is in power in only 2 small states i.e. Delhi and Punjab. Those 2 states can send total 20 MPs to parliament with a strength of 543. So I am not sure how AAP is going to topple Modi Govt in near future. The only party who can do it is Congress with the support of other parties including AAP. But at the same time, I think the current government is crossing the line in going after opposition parties especially during election times. We need a strong opposition for our democracy. As pointed out by one editorial Modi may be creating his own nemesis by over stepping here like Voldemort created Harry Potter.
