Blech. It's Bloomberg so it's gonna be a hit piece with suspect facts and data.

I fail to understand the headline. Sneaky? Why is the tech media (well the conservative tech media) fixated on ways to explain Apple's success? It's simple - they make a product people like to buy which works well, satisfies their needs and works together with other products.

The AirPods success is just one of those products. It works very well (and the new AirPods Pro 2 work super well), integrates perfectly with hardware, is marketed well and is supported and serviced in a timely manner by Apple.

No mystery, no sneaky behavior. If you don't like them because you don't like Apple as a company then fine. A Tesla may be a good car but I'd never purchase one because of the despicable behavior of Musk. That's my personal choice.

However if your animosity towards a company leads you to trash products without using them or listening to the users of them then you're a poor journalist or an uninformed consumer.

> "The courage to move on, do something new that betters all of us"

Totally not a cult. And as every cult they hate and subject their members to unnecessary suffering.

And the brainwashed cult members are there asking for more as some sort of ritual believeing that the more they suffer the more worthy they are.

We have to thank the Clinton's DOJ I guess. They managed to substitute Microsoft with something way worse. That is what always happens with regime changes enforced from outside...making things worse in geopolitics and the corporate world ever since the first stone age.

Same goes with Tesla and the green push that began during the Obama years. Another great American cult they managed to create which provides zero quality of life to its members, and actually kills them too, and it makes it seem like an accident! This is the stuff Jim Jones dreamt about at night in his wildest wet dreams

The invisible hand might not be perfect but it's way less worse than the alternative

Do we have sufficient data to declare that Teslas owners die at higher rates than non Tesla owners?

It happens, but I'm not going to pretend that it's commonplace. I don't like Tesla much either, but there are better avenues to criticise them on..
