In love with Internet Standards, free software and open data.
Interests: XMPP, OpenStreetMap, Wikidata.
- zaikThey should have converted to Euros first.

Let's Encrypt could easily refuse to issue a certificate for a certain domain, even if you don't have a registered account. I don't see much difference.
- Nowhere on the GitHub page does the project describe itself as "gamified", it's just the title of the HN submission
- There is already a lot of data about this in OpenStreetMap: https://wiki.openstreetmap.org/wiki/Bitcoin
- Anki doesn't have any ads or trackers either btw.
- Outside of my friend group, no one uses XMPP, the internet standard for chat, they only know about walled gardens and custom protocols by VC startups now :(
- It could refer to the production date:
> It was said to have been produced in 1945, and Paramount Pictures allowed showings for the public "without profit" in 1946. 21st century sources describe a 1943 production and 1947 release instead of 1945 and 1946.
- What has this to do with one another? This video doesn't advocate for censorship of the media.
- Recently graduated math student here. The definition of the "vec" operator which turns a matrix into a vector works like this, stacking up columns rather than rows.
- Encrypt the data and store the key on the user's device. If the user enables the feature, they transmit their key to you. If they disable the feature, you delete the key on your side.
- > A website set up by an unknown Dane
> The website, called Fight Chat Control, was set up by Joachim, a 30-year-old software engineer living in Aalborg, Denmark.
That's a lot of knowledge about an unknown person.
- What if the power gained by AI models is less than expected?
- Take a look at https://snikket.org .
- Signal is a walled garden and might even leave the EU soon. Of course if that happens, XMPP clients will also be harder to get, but at least I will always have full control over my XMPP server.
- The post assumes the reader is familiar with where things are happening and who is involved. Guess I'm not part of the target audience.
- HTTPSS for more confusion
- There are many competitors to Gmail, what do they lack for you?
- Should the EU have the right to reject national election results if the results show no gender equality?
