  1. Humans can also generate slop, specially on their blogs.
  2. True for the images, but users not using real names when posting on forums was the usual.
  3. Maybe this will be benefitial to stop the overexposure of some young people on the internet. A bad thing that brings a good result, like the inverse of "the path to hell is paved with good intentions".

On the 90s we internet users tended to hide behind nicknames and posting photos of yourself was not the normal. Maybe we were more nerdy/introverted or scared about what could happen if people recognized us in the real life.

Then services like Facebook, MySpace, Fotolog attracted normal users and here we are now, the more you expose yourself on the net, the better.

  4. Akshually I disagree, I discovered the song "Plastic Love" from a YouTube recommendation. Then I dived into city pop as a result.

But taking into account all the thousands of not-so-good recommendations I guess you are right

  5. Using Claude Code and Amp (free mode) with no sandbox.

I don't run Claude Code in YOLO mode, I just approve commands the first time I'm asked about them.

Using them since July I haven't found any problem with data loss and the clanker have not tried to delete my $HOME.

  6. As a Go fan (and ocassional angry old man) I love what he has done and spamming people using AI is shitty behavior, but maybe the reaction has too much of an "angry old man energy".

Personally when I want to have this kind of reaction I try to first think it's really warranted or maybe there is something wrong with how I feel in that moment (not enough sleep, some personal problem, something else lurking on my mind...)

Anger is a feeling best reserved for important things, else it loses its meaning.

  7. The Rusia that can't even conquer Ukraine? Yes, really scary...
  8. Go is the worst programming language except for all those others that I have tried from time to time
  9. Now for the next step... just use SQLite (it's possible it will be enough for your case).

Disclaimer: there's no silver bullet, yadda yadda. But SQLite in WAL mode and backups using Litestream have worked perfectly for me.

  10. Thanks for the post, it's near perfect in focus, detail and how it's written.

EDIT: You have some minor typos in the post (psuedocode)

  11. > Still prefer a chill vibe for htmx though.

Said the horse with laser eyes (¬_¬)

  12. Agentic AI coding is a tool, you can use it wrong.

To give an example of how to use AI successfully check the following post:

  13. I have been treated by very good doctors that smoke.

    And also... https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Ad_hominem

  14. This is like programming, you start with simple code because you don't know anything else.

Then you start learning more & more abstraction (classes, patterns, monads...).

In the end you strive to write simple code, just like at the beginning.

  15. If you want to go full on the Universal Century (UC) timeline, go for it.

But they are from the 70s, so don't expect top notch animation and scripts (it's a product of its time).

After that you can go Char's Counterattack and Gundam The Origin (this is a recent series, so more polished animation). Later maybe try watching Zeta.

As another comment mentioned you also some shorter UC side-stories like War in the Pocket, The 08th MS Team and Stardust Memory.

  16. I started with some series from the alternate universes and I fully recommend them:

    - Gundam 00: Gundam as a terrorist - Iron Blooded Orphans: Gundam as a (child) mercenary

After this I you want to watch the original universe (Universal Century) you can start with the 3 movies that summarize the OG series. They are legally on YouTube (search for gundaminfo)

  17. I think disclosing the use the AI is better than hiding it. The alternative is people using it but not telling for fear of a ban.
