Column is building the infrastructure that powers the US dollar globally. We own a nationally chartered bank that we've built from the ground up. Previous to this I started Plaid (plaid.com), and at Column I'm focused on keeping an extremely lean and experienced team. We're currently 10 experienced engineers that all report to me. We are looking for an ambitious infrastructure, product, and backend engineer (one of each) that wants to build incredible software from first principles.

- Appreciate it - its a fun, but hard problem! Yeah we're pretty hardcore on in-person in SF, which I isn't optimal for most people. As we get larger we may get more flex :)

- Nope! We're a bank not an issuing processor (its pretty confusing...), we don't wrap any vendors or 3rd parties. However, they're an excellent issuing processor so a bunch of our customers use them and us together.
- We plan on rolling out some corresponding banking services this year to help people with multi-currency accounts and international wires - but it would still be under our US charter. No short term plans to go international - there's a lot of ground we need to cover here. We tend to like to go very deep in an area instead of getting to spread thin.
