  1. The superset of all Euro vaccines is still much smaller than what the US had. Are we that much healthier?
  2. Are you familiar with any European country that does schedule a dengue vaccine? It is not listed here: https://vaccine-schedule.ecdc.europa.eu/
  3. The end result of his vax push has been to reduce the set of government required vaccines down to the same set used by Europe already. Additional vaccination is still available should an individual elect.

Are you of the opinion that the European recommendation is insufficient? Would you petition European healthcare industry that they are requiring too few vaccines? If so, I would expect Europeans to be chronically far more diseased than Americans, do we see that in the data?

  4. Would it increase the steady state surface air pressure by 50%, or would more molecules offgas into outer space to compensate?

If the latter, it might actually work. Assuming they offgas at-proportion. Which they probably wouldn’t…

  5. You misunderstand the game.

It’s all about who considers what a bad look.

  6. Follow the money. Five eyes pay for TOR to exist.
  7. You must keep in mind TOR is funded in large part by the US government. It’s a bad look for them to put their allies in the same list as their enemies.
  8. Encryption isn’t ITAR.
  9. 1Mbps for video is rule of thumb I use. Of course that will depend on customer expectations. 500K can work, but it won’t be pretty.
  10. It’s okay to eat fish because they don’t have any feelings.
  11. Ah. Of course… that’s how the workaround to use tuples as frozen dicts can work in the first place. Slow morning for me!
  12. Tuple entries must be hashable, which (as far as standard library is concerned) means immutable.
  13. Somewhat concerned that the only options considered were sharing track with the existing freight/passenger trains. This section is notoriously slow and unreliable already. I’d much prefer some new metal laid down that is specifically dedicated to high speed travel. Anyone know if that was considered and subsequently shot down elsewhere?

    Full report is here: https://hsr.ca.gov/programs/environmental-planning/project-s...

  14. Quantum isn’t the problem. Majority-internet telemetry is.
  15. Not everything needs to be tailored only to the most trivial use case.
  16. AirDrop is cool because it works offline with relatively high bandwidth using local RF. If you want to wait for you and the target to transmit all the data to/from some server 1000 miles away (using up your precious bandwidth quota along the way) that’s always been an option.
  17. port fwd through localhost?
  18. Genesis 1:29, anyone?
  19. Ah cool. My FJ is the same. Great system.
  20. They won’t be able to sell in USA without a backup camera, curious what their plan is there.
  21. The REST Book extension was made by a VS Code dev and does a decent enough chunk of what is needed, at least for simple use cases.

Handy Dandy Notebook as well, but that requires some reformulation to get everything in terms of standard curl/node/python/etc commands. (whether that’s better or worse than a custom http dsl is a matter of some debate)
