  1. It's just a temporary PR move
  2. Stock market is all based on vibes at this point. Giant gambling system
  3. Something changed in the US in the last 15 or so years that caused our whole country to become a death cult. All I see in the economics is a bunch of looting and pillaging before the music stops
  4. I'm using it
  5. It's only a sandbox in as far as Google lets it be a sandbox. I'm sure Google has telemetry in chrome that deeply tracks users beyond what is publicly known or available.
  6. Don't we have the right to "face your accuser" ie getting automatic tickets from the government is illegal because you don't have an accuser.
  7. Vibe coded internet keeps getting better
  8. When every industry is dominated by 1 or 2 players, collusion becomes a lot easier. This concentration has been slowly happening for decades now, and we're pretty much at the end. Every industry is dominated by what is essentially a monopoly, but because they keep at least 1 competitor alive, the public and the FTC are fine with it.
  9. Vibe coding takes its first global victim
  10. Should add a link to the main site from the blog on the mobile layout
  11. Its true though, unless you can find your purpose in life. Gotta be more to life than transient hits of dopamine
  12. Western companies haven't thought about long term value in decades
  13. Meta essentially forces every instagram user to install threads....so it's more forced growth than natural growth
  14. Seems like a lot of adults yearn for having a mommy and daddy take care of everything for them
  15. Netflix and other streaming sites have ads on some paid subscriptions. First they start with ad free subs, then introduce ads and introduce a higher priced tier to get rid of ads
  16. This was a thing back in the windows 95 days...but is no longer an issue.
  17. I wonder how far away from critical mass where the amount of ads just push people off of tech entirely. I know it has started for me
  18. This isn't about supporting babies, this is about the government pumping up the stock market
  19. AI will be the end of civilization
  20. It depends on your view of who should have the most say...state gov or federal gov
  21. Not really surprising considering most homes cost a milllion bucks. Unfortunately for them very few people can afford a million dollar home, so the number is mostly delusion
  22. There are no good third party libraries
  23. At least when I worked in retail, we asked that just to be polite or make sure they actually found everything. Never had to report yes/no
  24. Quarterly profit over long term growth
  25. That delorean ended up being a scam. They took the money and ran
  26. This has been the standard practice for all tech companies. Make it free to capture the market and snuff out all competition. Once they have secured the whole market then its time to start making money to pay back the millions they borrowed from VCs for decades
  27. Men already aren't cared for
  28. The Trending page is ALWAYS full of sport hashtags. Always...like over 75% of the trending topics are sports. No matter how many times i click "Not Interested" it still shows me sports. Its like ESPN is paying a huge amount of money to completely monopolize the trends list
