- Yes, the drives are unaware of the OS state.
- I have a dell laptop that uses a usbc port to charge, but doesn't actually use the PD specification, but a custom one, so my 65w GAN charger falls back to 5v 0.5a and isn't useful at all. I'd bet dollars to donuts that your Lenovo is doing similar shit.
- GOG has allowed third party backup software like https://github.com/Sude-/lgogdownloader to exist. I have a full offline mirror of my GOG library that I update monthly that will never happen with my Steam library.
- Reading the cfx spec [1], the raw private key is exported as a base64 encoded der. I don't understand what your concern is here. It appears that any cfx export file is not tied to a specific service to service import path, but can be imported into anything, or just used locally with self written tools.

- Not sure if it's down or if I've been flagged incorrectly as a bot
Safari can't open the page "https://mirror.newsdump.org/confuse-some-ssh-bots.html" because Safari can't connect to the server "mirror.newsdump.org". - Which language(s?) have || before !=/==?
- And it's possible to serve different content if the curl is being piped to a shell vs if it's being piped to a file or stdout
- Arq [1] has an option to "materialize" dataless files, basically forcing them to be locally available. The only issue is if it's a large file and it gets pushed off device often, you can burn a lot of bandwidth re-downloading it over and over again.
- I run a nextcloud [1] instance and use it for contacts, calendars, and reminders
- Not every one, but if it looks like something I might use, I do take a quick look at it and any upstream it came from. It keeps me from using something when I shouldn't and have to rip it out later.
- As a FYI, you removed the original author's name from your license information. Per the MIT license, you need to preserve their copyright in your fork
- People don't get killed regularly

There are 4 confirmed fatalities in 2024 and 47 unprovoked bites.
- While this is a wonderful technical feat, I think it's not nearly as playable. The video shows that it doesn't mix the gameplay sounds with the music track, so it pauses the music every time to play a sound (gun shot, door opening, item pick up, etc). This is really distracting compared to the adlib driver that mixes them together and so the music doesn't stop/start harshly. And IIRC, the adlib music is quieter then the effects, which also helps the music stay as background sounds. I don't think Id was lazy, just thinking about the full experience.
- Accounts are many to one email address. Each of my servers have an individual account attached to the same email address.
- It's not clear that you will need an account to see the problems. Logged in with my account and it's exactly the same page. It's not Dec 1st everywhere yet, so they might open up for everyone when they do open them up.
- He hasn't actually confirmed that the image he's processing is recent or if it was a test image and by "I found", he means he was able to find the thing that was known to be there. The Twitter thread has some people asking for clarification and none have been received yet.
- I don't understand why someone would wrap an untrusted application with their own code vs using something like Systemd's exec capabilities to do the same without having to have a binary wrapper. What benefits do you see over the systemd solution?
- I really wish they wouldn't keep adding cameras on these things. Isn't three lidar sensors enough?
- Water jets that clean the mop heads, not the full vacuum. Ecovacs have a different system that also automatically cleans the mop heads, so it's not a unique feature.
