A software programmer, web developer, and music artist making the world less frustrating and more enjoyable one day at a time.
- Written book content is so dramatically different than online content.
The single fact that books have to be reviewed, edited, and published takes on a whole new world of quality and information.
Personally, I don't even bother with ebooks due to the lack of creditability in the quality of information and writing.
So, yes they are.
- Yes.
I hate Slack with a passion. I am on 14+ servers and it's completely impossible to manage, mostly because of memory.
Recently, I've decided to make a chat client (desktop) natively with C++ for Windows, Linux, and OSX that has a smooth layout like the original AIM (very easy to use). Including, with future plans to do audio/video chats and screen sharing including file sharing.
I just hope that within time, I will be able to release something to the world.
- I agree and disagree with a lot of points.
Most importantly, writing programs on whiteboards. I hate this, but it's an insightful way to measure the individuals thinking processing, decision-making skills, and communications skills.
Expect them to fail and see how they handle the situation and themselves.

- I agree with this; it's very important.
However, it does get tricky when your other hobbies also require you be on the computer as your job does (e.g., cryptocurrency trading, programming side projects, or editing images, making/editing videos, video games, etc.).
So, recently I've taken up gardening (got a nice piece of land) and brewing beer.
Also, going to the gym every other day or go out running. The exercise helps keep your mind and body at bay.

I am not sure if any of the following books were recommendation already:
- Carl B. Boyer - A History of Mathematics - William Dunham - Journey Through Genius - Philip J. Davi & Reuben Hersh - The Mathematical Experience - Martin Aigner & Günter M. Ziegler - Proofs from the Book - Imre Lakatos - Proofs and Refutations - Robert M. Young - Excursions in Calculus: An Interplay of the Continuous and the Discrete - Courant & Robbins - What is Mathematics? - George Pólya - How to Solve It - Morris Kline - Kline’s Mathematics: The Loss of Certainty
More or less a general deep understanding of Mathematics but will definitely give you a boost in a direction that you will favor.
