- t1234sSceptre makes some decent dumb TVs with large screen sizes https://www.sceptre.com/TV/4K-UHD-TV-category1category73.htm...
- Looks like an hit piece to trigger some people to dump their $NVDA stock. They worked phrases like "abandon" and "AI Bubble" into the title/subtitle. Authors other articles look like clickbait crap https://www.pcworld.com/author/jon-martindale
- The US doesn't want to piss off all the USO's zipping around underwater.
- I'm glad to see they didn't use wordpress.
- Also I think this is the reason M$ and Apple offer (or forced in the case of M$) you to use an online account to log into your local machine. I believe this will be used in the future to allow people to legally use the internet or not at all. Would a world like this mean using Linux makes you an outlaw in certain areas?
- These state required ID walls to use online services will eventually be required to access anything the internet.
- I found this: https://www.napyork.com/
- Is there a fork of firefox where you have all the same core functionality and support for extensions but with all the mozilla services (pocket, safe browsing, forced crap on the new tab page, any AI service, etc...) removed?
- Bravo.. best headline I've read in a long time. This phrase should be a desktop background.
- Are these types of accommodations popular among tech people working in startups? I imagine if you are spending multiple days in a row at the office (or offices across multiple cities) it doesn't make sense to pay rent on a location you never use. I remember reading an article of a Google employee that lived in a box truck in the parking lot.
- I remember an HN post where someones google account got locked out when they tried to add funds using their Apple Card.
- I guess we have to build them in space.
- I think this is how they are going to roll out tax-by-the-mile schemes across the US.
- I've noticed its faster to get the full bucees experience with a tesla instead of trying to park a normal car hit the bathrooms, get drinks and junk food then get in line for gas. Also as a side note they are the only places I've seen mercedes benz charging stations that look mostly abandoned. Last time I was there people were using those spots to park ICE vehicles.
- Did they publish a list of what they consider social media sites? If you are 15 and active on GitHub is this now considered against the law?
- What does this mean for a company like Coreweave?
- Lets hope they stay independent and never get acquired by Google or any other large tech company. You can imagine a web where SSL issuance is used as a tool to censor websites. I think most browsers have been made to make standard http sites look malicious to normal users.
- Is there an excellent "AI Free" linux distro that one can escape to when AI is inescapable from both Windows/MacOS
- The only thing large corporations like M$ care about is their share price (and they should). ESG/DEI was just a fad
- What compiler is used to build the production F35 code? Something off the shelf or developed by LM?
