  1. Is the conclusion the same if you have a computer that is just for the LLM, and a separate one that runs your dev tools ?
  2. This is useful info.

I havent tried agentic coding as I havent set it up in a container yet, and not going to yolo my system (doing stuff via chat and a utility to copy and paste directories and files got me pretty far over the last year and a half).

  3. Yes, it also helps keep it focused.
  4. You'd think local models could explore a codename and build up a knowledge graph of it they could use to query it.

It could take longer, but save your subscription tokens.

  5. GTA came on a CD, lots of CDROM games of the time used CD Audio tracks, so an ISO won't have these, but a dump as bin + cue will.
  6. We were much younger so 16 years ago did not feel recent.

Subjective time speeds up as we age, probably based on how long a give period is vs the rest of your life.

16 years was a much bigger % of your life then than it is now.

Think of 2 year old, a year ago was half their life !

  7. Thank you for this wonderfully succinct description, I shall steal it.
  8. This is good, is there a python library to do this ?
  9. Git PRs work on async model for reviews.
  10. That sounds like a useful extension to use local LLMs, I guess equivalents exist, or the licensing on this is such that it could get forked.
  11. The two tier bit is Palastine action people being in prison for up to two years before getting tried, being on hunger strike without much reporting in the press.
  12. It doesn't generate good tests by default though.

I worked on a team where we had someone come in and help us improve our tests a lot.

The default LLM generated tests are bit like the ones I wrote before that experience.

  13. Adding recommendation engines that optimise for anger makes it even worse.
  14. That market was fake, the report on it is really interesting (but the people submitting to it were real).
  15. What a shame, they run webOS is which is really interesting on these, though LG continues to implement the most anti consumer things they can think of.
  16. You can build a lot of renewable in the time it takes to make one nuclear power station.
  17. Talk about a baptism of fire for the dev.

Seems like they are very new to tbings and didn't expect it to be adopted, but were hoping for a bit of feedback.

  18. Flourescent looks so of it's time, it fits right into an age of acid house, where you could go hang out in the hologram shop [1].

  19. We already did this for durability, resulting in tomatoes that didn't taste of very much.

Now, the supermarkets that sold those have solved it by breeding ones that are incredibly sweet.

  20. Ah, so thats why I find Gundam boring.
