   I did something similar with pulseaudio about 15 years ago, had an old thinkpad running Debian, and then multicast activated on my source. Worked surprisingly well!

   fbpurity.com works quite well for me on desktop, on m.facebook.com, it does not.

   It also makes it painfully clear how little user interaction there is publicly on the site...

   I use the 2S and the 3 over Bluetooth (Windows 10 and Linux (Pipewire/pulseaudio)) and they generally work well. But on Linux I sometimes get lagging sound on my bt headphones, when I use the mouse heavily, and on Windows I get a rubber band effect on the mouse when I use a headset for calls, but not music. ymmv

   SteamOS literally has a desktop mode, standard KDE, and you can install any applications that are in Arch repos or served as flatpaks.

    I talked to a guy who "managed software development", and when I asked him about the resources om their developer machines (some kind of VM), he got angry at me when I laughed nervously when he didn't know what RAM was.

    No wonder a lot of modern software is terrible.

    My only gripe is that they chose not to put the USB-C connector on a separate, easily exchangeable PCB. but other than that, best gadget in a looong time. And the advantages it gives to Linux gaming in general is very nice (I have gamed exclusively on Linux for 5 years, and it has never been better).

    I have a couple of AP AC Lites running openwrt and 802.11r, works fine except on Xiaomi phones apparently... I never tried the unifi though, flashed openwrt within 15 minutes of receiving the APs

    not GP, but I use Xiaomi 2-gang switches, IKEA 5 button remotes, the old IKEA dimmers, and their on/off remote. At the moment I'm eyeing LIDLs remotes as well... In Denmark

    Everything is controlled via Homeassistant+Deconz and a Phoscon Zigbee Dongle.

    It's even possible to hack the IKEA switches into the danish wall switches.

    In my company (DK Based), the youngest SW dev(not based in India) is 38, so the companies are out there. I'm one of the youngest HW engineers at 35. My guess is that we average close to 50 in R&D. Granted, we are in Medical Devices, so young gun speed is not our thing, but still.

    Their "radio" generation from a playlist of relatively few tracks was also out of this world, in contrast to spotifys ““daily"" which only gives me a new list every two years or so. Despite using the desktop application an hearting the living bejeezus out of it...

    I'm using the webapps wrapper on android, with user agent set to desktop. This gives me a mobile version of Fb where the messenger part works, really nifty. And sandboxed too!

    To be fair, this is also a concern here in Denmark. Quite a few University professors have complained that students do not have adequate skills in mathematics, as the bar has been lowered over a number of years in the high school system. My opinion is, the wish for a higher percentage of university graduates in a generation has lead to an inappropriate lowering of standards. (even if I am part of it....)
