- sentrysapperWhat a rude thing to post. Hund, don't listen to this entitled nonsense. There is a reason it's called human error. Companies 100x your size and 10000x your revenue like AWS, Microsoft, CloudFlare, CrowdStrike can't figure out how to accurately provide status dashboards. At least you took the time to explain your mistakes. If anything you got another supporter for your honesty.
- Postman pulled this same stunt in 2022, limiting how many times you can run your own API class from your machine. To this day I've never reconciled with them or their product management decisions.
- My grandfather was a crop duster pilot in the 60s-70s. He died of Parkinson's almost 4 years ago today. He is the only one in my family to succumb to this disease. For a brief moment I was relieved to know there was some explanation for his suffering.
Then I read the HN comments. It is beyond infuriating to read a well researched paper with 1300 open cases legal with overwhelming evidence only to be met with "zero chance this is real."
- Why does that sound untrustworthy? Do you have any idea of what the tobacco industry hid about second hand smoke exposure? How is it somehow more plausible this nurse made up her condition than pesticide manufactures being honest about the impacts?
- I've been calling them the N2 trials. The evidence this administration willingly shares makes one shudder to think what they are not sharing.
- looks like the host is getting too many requests, anyone know of a mirror?
- Starting to? Brother where hast thou been?
- What would that look like? A network with built-in rate & connection limiting?
The closest thing I can think of is the Gemini protocol browser. It uses TOFU for authentication, which requires a human to initially validate every interaction.
- oh boy here comes the GabeCube
- > You must ask candidates to solve problems directly related to the role. If you’re hiring a game programmer, knowing how to detect fraud in bank transactions is irrelevant knowledge if that task never appears on the job.
I wish more companies understood this. In all my years of interviews I never got a coding interview or take home programming assignment that even remotely resembled the work they needed.
- There is. It's known as the Internet Crimes Complaint Center (IC3).
- I cherish the thought of a better Win10/11 upgrade process. Can anyone else vouch for this tool?
- >Yes, they gave the animals enemas.
I am relieved for them.
- dang. thought this was a service for people tired of reading about AI.
- Working on a "Data Governance in a Box" solution for small businesses that are using out of data routers and security practices. Starting here in Canada, but open to collaboration.
- 'Sackable' was a great word choice. Well done Guardian.
- I will think about this post every time I hear the expression "it won't change things one bit".
- this site is a hoot
- I don't understand who this is for.
From the screenshots, it's almost as if it was designed to keep someone inside an echo chamber and not come up with any original ideas about what they've read or bookmarked.
- I started building a MtG competitor inspired by Altered and Netrunner. As weird as it sounds, I started with some bash scripts to see how the meta would play out to make sure the card values/strategies were balanced.
I would love to compare game development notes if you're interested in discussing this sometime.
