  1. This already happened when they got rid of the 5-star rating in favor of the like button. "Rate 5 stars and subscribe" became "Like and subscribe". People will adapt.
  2. Sorry, what? Waymo does not use human drivers for passenger trips, unless you’re referring to training drives (with no passenger).

Edit: I think I get what you mean now, you mean when humans have to remotely intervene for whatever reason and pilot the car

  3. Was not a TUI, but was totally controllable from the keyboard. There was no mouse or touch screen, you could get pretty fast at it. You are also correct about the tax exempt thing, the customers who used it often knew what to ask for. The new registers now have a completely different UI with a touch screen. Seems like a step backwards.
  4. What the value prop of continuing to use Evernote versus other newer solutions like Notion? Interested to hear from someone still using the product
  5. What kind of jobs do you put into the lifestyle category? Depending on what you mean by that, I think that lifestyle jobs can have some non monetary value to society by increasing wellbeing.
  6. With all due respect, you are the one that sidetracked the discussion, not the person that acknowledged AI
  7. You are going on a very weird crusade in this thread. Literally have never heard this in my life used as any kind of slur and here you are arguing with everyone about it.
  8. Their lack of a public product has been widely discussed for at least a month now
  9. I get your point but even if elected it can sway public perception of character
  10. How exactly would you do this? Be realistic
  11. Looking at it now and the bullet has black text
  12. Somehow I don’t think that’s their primary concern at the moment
  13. Very popular choice for LC/MS
  14. Something is wrong with your computer if it takes 40 seconds, I have a similar samsung SSD and it takes like 20 seconds maximum from a cold boot to desktop on Win11
  15. Every time this happens people say it’s different. See: COVID pandemic. And we know the V shaped recovery that came after that. Of course that shouldn’t be interpreted as a predictor of what’s to come next (because it’s not), my only point is to say that the same rhetoric pops up frequently during downtowns since forever.
  16. Not just the imagery, very clearly the text as well. It really puts me off of reading an article when it's so obvious, I'm not sure why. It almost feels like the author is trying to pull something over on me.
  17. You’re free to make one yourself
  18. Free services are not immune to valid criticism, although I do think they are going a bit too far.
  19. To me this argument makes no sense. Apple should never introduce any new features or services to their ecosystem because it might increase “social pressure” to get an iPhone?
