  1. oh so CEO is probably referring to using AI to replace foreign junior devs is a bad idea. Domestic junior dev replacement is ok though
  2. the US could just require indians be paid the same as US workers then companies would be incentivized to hire more from home. You are correct, it is far cheaper to hire indians due to tax incentivize and regulations
  3. Government replaces workers with regulations, should it also pay taxes?
  4. This has got to be propaganda from big auto. No one would benefit from more regulation as much as they would
  5. Over-regulation is without a doubt one of the top, if not the top, reasons for many of our woes. Propagandists will continue to say they are necessary for our safety or environment, but the negative repercussions are obvious and abundant. The only true beneficiaries will always be a handful of potential victims and the monopolists.
  6. Its not that there is not enough education, its that there is too many regulatory barriers preventing licensing. It should be more like the DMV where anyone can take a test and get licensed if they pass. Forced experience and education requirements are touted as essential but are truly nothing more than regulatory moat building.
  7. is there any political censorship scheme at this large of scale in modern us history?
  8. What if the government is the source of misinformation?
  9. True but in public you can collect almost any data a person would reasonably expect to be private. What remains private?
