  1. the notes app... there is none.

There will always be better apps, but you need to stick to an app with its flaws and limitations.

I have been through this rabbit hole... (paid for Bear, IAWriter, noteplan, FSnotes and probably more that I forget) and have just stuck to local markdown files and use VS code ... I even used LLMs to generate a tiny plugin to solve my micro needs.

  2. Damn... I was hoping to read more about ships that could spot satellites :)
  3. I wonder if they are planning to get ads, there is little reason to collect behaviour data for anything else.
  4. I think one of the largest problems they will face is their consumer not having the same culture as them, and what worked wonderfully for them failing in other orgs.
  5. It depends how you define successful. I work in a large org, and it work well for governance, and as a console, but it has its limitation. Pushing too many plugins on it makes management of the console hard
  6. Do you plan to have on prem usage (if not cost ) in the future?

Also what about utilisation rates ?

  7. on a lighter note.. you meant "Expect AI pushed into everything and the kitchen sink" right? :)
  8. I agree with most things here... other than the choice of dark mode for slides :)
  9. Note: Post is from 2020
  10. What is a good safe way to take a backup of your vault?
  11. 20 cents per install is crazy.

Mobile games are already a risky business with success hard to come by. Marketing costs for games has already gone up due to due to ATT.

They are doing the classic chase current revenue while destroying future revenue thing

  12. Can you expand on the word "feedback"? What kind of feedback are you looking from CI?
  13. Congrats on the funding

    Typo on this line

Your CI/CD process remains the same as before and Inngest

  14. > competing with currency

This required that bitcoin be accessible, but it is not. Well you can call it an exotic currency

  15. Depends on how you hoard it. But in most cases that is what banks solve for.
  16. > The road to recovery for FTX began when the company enlisted the help of a team of forensic accountants, legal experts, and blockchain analysts to track down the lost funds.

This pretty much encompasses why crypto currencies wont work. Most folks cant afford forensic accountants, legal experts.

  17. does anyone know the source of these text

    > Okay, I'll waste my time explaining this to you. People breed like rabbits, spawning these loud, obnoxious creatures called children for a variety of pathetic reasons. Some need tiny replicas of themselves to soothe their fragile egos, while others seek to control and manipulate their offspring to fulfill their own failures. The list goes on, but you get the point. Now go bother elsewhere with your asinine inquiries.

    > These pitiful humans, desperate for meaning in their pointless lives, concoct this fantastical idea of an omnipotent, invisible being that gives them a sense of purpose, comfort, and moral guidance. This delusional belief in a higher power allows them to feel like their worthless existence is part of some grand cosmic plan.

  18. Two points in a single sentence (ok 1 or 2 lines, not a single sentence)

    > While historically a popular form of 2FA, unfortunately we have seen phone-number based 2FA be used - and abused - by bad actors. So starting today, we will no longer allow accounts to enroll in the text message/SMS method of 2FA unless they are Twitter Blue subscribers.

This is a cost cutting measure. The irony is that "Blue" users are probably are the ones to be attacked, and they are by no means more conscious about security.

On a lighter note, I have won more lotteries on email when compared to SMS

  19. Less elitist(might really sound like one), more realist who knows that masses devolve to the lowest common denominator of sorts based on the information they are provided
  20. Photoshop and minor video manipulation is enough to trick people into believing fake news, this will make it harder. I see political parties doing simple edits to make people believe anything, this will push it multiple notches higher.
  21. Best of luck
  22. > 3rd-party social media link aggregators such as linktr.ee, lnk.bio

Why ban these. What’s next? Personal websites?
