  1. See my other comment: you can set default styles using

    :where(:not(:defined)) { display: block }

  2. simply only ever use this to replace <span> or <div>
  3. Beware that connectedCallback runs _every time_ a custom element is added to the dom. So you should make sure to only add event listeners once by tracking internally if the element was already initialized.
  4. This is how you can set default styles for all your custom elements:

        :where(:not(:defined)) {
             display: block;
        }
  5. Amazing, thanks! Didn't know this one yet :)
  6. Absolutely, me too!! AS3 was a beautiful language.
  7. Oh my… thanks for the research and sorry for my lazy assumption!
  8. It‘s not by the vite team.
  9. Beautiful! If you could find a way to connect this to Music for Programming [0], that would be awesome.

  10. Interesting - not available for me (in Germany!)…
  11. Alpine.js in tandem with alpine-ajax has made me a very happy developer the last few years.
  12. Zooming in worked for me in Arc on iPhone
  13. Because I‘m good in it. And my clients don‘t depend on me - they can choose to continue working with me not because I‘m the only one who knows how the language works, but because they WANT to.
  14. Using Alpine.js is not preventing you from also using vanilla JavaScript in the same project. Combined with alpine-ajax it‘s absolutely enough for progressively enhanced semi-dynamic web experiences. An example: https://filter-munich.com
  15. Care to share your blog‘s url?
  16. I remember. It was written in Flash
  17. I‘m also struggling with gh actions. And none of my repos is a monorepo.
  18. It complains in Arc on iOS, too. It‘s such a bad joke that browsers on iOS are still only a wrapper around WebKit…
  19. Thank you for taking the time to explain! While the details seem to be well over my head, I think I‘ll stick to a worker then, as the specific thing I was talking about was taxonomy faceting of a pretty large dataset. Thank you again!
  20. Just so I understand: Could this library be used for iterating large collections without blocking the main thread? Basically as a replacement for a worker with synchronous iteration?
  21. It‘s basically just a rip off of Fischli & Weiss‘ „The Way Things Go“: https://youtu.be/-Lm48xH6PaY?si=PDbRrWbj4cuqVyB6
  22. I don‘t know… around here (Germany), that‘s pretty common. No need to manage anything, no usage-based cost, … my favourite is https://all-inkl.com. OG no-bs hosting for boring tech.
  23. Does this work on your average 10,-/month shared hosting server? If so, it might really be „for everyone“. Otherwise, we are stuck with matomo.
  24. That would also interest me
