  1. Great points and my favourite: The menu now draws a blank frame first, then populates it with items. Sometimes taking up to half a second. Nobody noticed this?
  2. Turbo C++ Vibe
  3. You can’t force it to be always open on desktop and collapsible on mobile. That was a deal breaker for me.
  4. Not sure opening a new tab would be viable, as they are sometimes blocked unless you tap a small permission button. Becomes much more confusing and unfriendly
  5. Interesting. Strangely, no mention of HTML, whose tables can do colspan. Just don’t add CSS
  6. Just when I re-started using it because of the vertical tabs.
  7. Fleet was snappy and looked great. What was the font? The fact that the crème de la creme, peak of civilization, agentic coding, is now running on top of the worst technology in the world, Electron, is infinitely sad.
  8. Windows drive letters are ridiculous. Use an external drive for e.g. video editing, its letter can be stolen by another drive, you can’t work anymore.
  9. Yes, on 13" it's just about right
  10. Right. I learned it the hard way lol
  11. Came here to say exactly that. Loved it back in the day, great app.
  12. Did they provide a CSS feature to prevent modals being cut off at the Safari toolbar?
  13. Been there a few times. I see the skepticism in the comments and would suggest to just visit and see for yourself. Of course it won’t be the full picture but just check it out. It’s perfectly safe, and now easier than ever.
  14. First time online at home, over dial-up, with this floppy. It just worked
  15. In Summary – What Was Learned • Friendship loss in adulthood is common and often tied to life transitions. • Direct communication with an ex-friend can be enlightening, even if the relationship doesn’t restart. • Personal growth often comes from understanding your role in the ending—not assigning blame or regret, but acknowledging patterns. • Reconnection does not guarantee reunion, and in many cases, the value lies in what you learn about yourself, not whether the relationship is revived.
  16. It's discrimination, e.g. the web is perfectly suited to be used with keyboard only, yet companies make it impossible.
  17. The EU needs to take over Firefox, improve and support it, declaring independence
  18. Loved the vertical tabs and I hope they land in Safari soon, why not Chrome too
  19. Right? Not sure how to “Press P to play” on an iPad, play what, and why?
  20. Animated border radius
  21. Not working in Safari. Says ‘done’ but Generated CSS box remains empty
  22. In a walking video from there, it had incredibly clean random streets
  23. While doing nothing to fix the fundamental flaws in these OSs – they easily become unresponsive on IO/network failures.
  24. Yes please, like everybody else I had to make a custom one https://radogado.github.io/n-select/ and will be happy to move to a rich standard
  25. Crashes the iPad Safari tab
  26. Exactly my thought, having visited the museum in San Diego
  27. I really like it. It's not a genre film, but a cold existential drama based mostly on mood.
  28. Freezing the page isn't so simple, as overflow: hidden messes up things like the sticky header on that page. I had so much trouble with it, I decided to just let users scroll and hide the modal during scrolling: https://radogado.github.io/n-modal/
