  1. and for the people that don't know, its not just because they forgot to switch, sometimes it's just faster, e.g. YouTube search also recognizes Hangul sequences in Latin if you type them out

you can also swear in a comedic way by just typing the Hangul sequence in Latin e.g. tlqkf

  2. Well I have an idea:

what if we all just blame the youth?

I think that might fix the situation

  3. I don't know your setup but I only use Claude Code w/ Sonnet and basically tell it to type low caps, drop the formatting (it seemingly makes it type out confident statements causing it to go deeper into hallucinations)

and best is when you have e.g. some scripts that you want a new variant of, e.g. to generate the same thing but for X

you have to give it your wishes, otherwise it'll go to whatever median training thing it had in mind

I don't know what your requirements here were, if it was some kind of custom format then I don't know how well it'd perform

for those kind of situations, leaning on its bash capabilities (Claude Code) to test its sed / awk whatever is a good idea before just telling it to go write the thing

I think for super novel strange things you want to be in the loop first, solve the main problem and them kind of tell it to make it into a script you can call with args or whatever that'd otherwise be a pain to write manually

And that's kind of one of my main uses for it, writing scripts I'd otherwise hate to write, e.g. a bunch of just parsing, args, ifs, error handling, duplicate behavior etc..

  4. well, it's going to be incredible. Its gonna be something like you've never seen before. I've never seen anything like it. In fact, I hear many say it's going to be one of the greatest Tech Forces they've ever seen, maybe even the greatest.
  5. I've heard of a case like that where they started fights in the workplace over their views and trying to sabotage others...
  6. browser extensions? you mean like Chrome ones etc? never heard of that being a thing
  7. more like C is portable, until it isn't
  8. That's really interesting.

May I ask what kinds of projects, stack and any kind of markdown magic you use?

And any specific workflow? And are there times when you have to step in manually?

  9. These posts like the one OP made is why I'm losing my mind.

Like, is there truly an agentic way to go 10x or is there some catch? At this point while I'm not thrilled about the idea of just "vibe coding" all the time, I'm fine with facing reality.

But I keep having the same experience as you, or rather leaning more on that supercharged Google/SO replacement

or just a "can you quickly make this boring func here that does xyz" "also add this" or for bash scripts etc.

And that's only when I've done most of the plumbing myself.

  10. I think anyone sane will have had the same conclusion a long time ago.

It's a black box with input/output in text, thats not a very good moat.

especially given that Deepseek type events can happen because you can just train off of your competitors outputs

I've tried out Gemini 2.5/3 and it generally seems to suck for some reason, problems with lying/hallucinating and following instructions, but ever since Bard came out at first, I thought Google would have the best chances of winning since they have their own TPUs, YouTube (insane video/visual/audio data), Search (indexed pages), and their Cloud/DCs and they can stick it into Android/Search/Workspace.

meanwhile OpenAI has no existing business, they only have API/Subs as revenue, and they're utilizing Nvidia/AMD

I really wonder how things will look once this gold rush stabilizes

  11. I'm confused as well, it hallucinated like crazy

like it seems great, but then it's just bullshitting about what it can do or whatever

  12. Not to mention that Google has infinite video data, scraping data (via Search), their own Quantum computers, their own TPUs, their own Cloud....

Gemini seems to suck majorly, I don't know why (it lies a lot and doesn't follow instructions) but I've been wondering about this too for a while

  13. All hail the EU Federation for pushing this no matter what. Can't wait to be protected even more by our beloved nanny!
  14. And those politicians there form their own little interest groups across members states and vote accordingly, which is the exact opposite of what we think of democracy.

You'd basically have to rely on magic to know how those politicians you vote in will decide to vote on because they join some sect that lobbies them to vote against your interests.

And we all know no voter aside from the 1% will ever think this far. It's exactly like you called it, the illusion of choice

  15. That's the blessing of the KYC/AML laws/regulations for ya.

Moving money needs source of funds, documentation etc... doing any business requires you to doxx yourself to the world and to vendors in the name of transparency.

Luckily though none of this is a problem for large multinationals :) which the EU cares about most in the end

  16. And in a way I think AI can help here, where instead you get just the snippet vs having to add that dep that then becomes a long-term security liability
  17. This guy is a fraud, he isn't measured by any legit institute, only by some random one which stated he is intelligent and he claims he was measured at 276 IQ.

He's low-key just trolling at this point, aaying he wants asylum in the US and making videos about how jesus/God is real with some scientific methods etc.

Just go check out his YouTube you'll see what I'm talking about.

  18. It seems like they're following the footsteps of Claude, as Claude was able to do this correcting thing (I.e. "no wait, actually it's...") in the midst of replying

But somehow I don't see that in Sonnet 4.5 anymore too much.

But yeah it seems really similar to what was going on in Sonnet 4 just like a few months ago

  19. Lmao what the hell have they made
  20. And it's incredible to see people here say that it's just a "skill issue" or whatever, sitting on "young people".

Like do we want the population to grow or not? Which one is it?
