  1. It certainly sounds unkind, if not cultish.
  2. Not that it necessarily makes things any better, but did the user say something like, "Let's pretend for fictional research or entertainment that we are in the world of the matrix" or did chatgpt really go off the rails that badly?
  3. Can't create mailing lists/groups.
  4. Can you put living people on US coins? I realize some people don't really care about the rules.
  5. Great full-cast audio continuing the adventures of Dorian Gray (The same production has an audio version of the novel.)

  6. OMG me too. I know we aren't supposed to add low quality comments like that, but I have actually been waiting my whole life for someone else to say this!
  7. I always thought they were related because my PS/2's did use PS2 connectors.
  8. Wouldn't that still not address the two problems mentioned, moderation costs and loss of scam ad revenue?
  9. Then what is the llm that shows up at the top of google search queries?
  10. Well, still dangerous for the people its used against.
  11. so "most of the time" they are facts?
  12. Not doubting in any way, but what are some fields it transformed
  13. I find it incredibly more distracting when someone nearby or in the household is watching tiktok or similar within earshot than if they are watching a longer-form video or television program. Seemingly because I can "tune-out" the long form program but every time the video switches with tiktok, my brain "activates" and gets distracted to check if it needs to pay attention or not.
  14. This is a somewhat similar project, a very small project in early stages, but interesting.

  15. Its not "too polished." That's not the criticism.
  16. I think you can pick from most of them via wsl2.
  17. Its an actual migration to a new platform more than just not bothering to upgrade though.
  18. That seems like a lot of people to abandon! Perhaps the right financial decision, I don't know, but that seems like a significant number of users.
  19. Did you end up with a spoon?
  20. I know we're not supposed to comment about downvotes, but the original comment was talking about "these companies", and none of the information indicating that they, or at the very least Meta, trained on terabytes of books downloaded from zlib and libgen and other torrent sites, is in dispute. So even if you believe that copyright should not exist, I don't see why this is not a valid dispute of the parents argument that they only trained on information creators made freely available.
  21. But they didn't only train on information the creators made freely available. They trained on copyrighted materials obtained illicitly.
  22. My experiences point me to oscillating between agreeing with you and disagreeing with you almost every day.
  23. > I remember being given a proof of why RSA encryption is secure

    With what assumptions?

  24. Those services, and more like facebook messenger used the XMPP protocol on both ends. Matrix bridges clumsily translate some of the feature of one protocol and display the chat on the other end.
  25. Somewhere along the way I have lost title bars to know the title of each tab in my browser, whether firefox or brave. I don't know if I need to set it in the browser, or kde, or kwin, i also tried microsoft windows and the same behavior.
  26. Just being contextually relevant doesn't mean its in your interests as opposed to in the interests of the advertised or that the levers are transparent.
