  1. David Heinemeier Hansson, also known by his initials DHH, is a Danish programmer, writer, entrepreneur, and racing driver. He is the creator of Ruby on Rails, a web framework written in Ruby.[1]
  2. Not entirely surprising. Dustin (Destin?) from smarter every day tried to get some chainmail from India. Ended up being drop shipped from china
  3. there have been video after video about how they aren't high quality. both on the software front and the build quality

  6. >When Elon took over; the rules were clearly laid out: buy your checkmark for $7/month (not sure of the price). Pay and you get it; stop paying and you loose it. Everybody knows exactly what it means.

  13. something of note though, if it's with a specific funeral home, plan to follow up with them yearly to make sure they are still around. Dad found that out the hard way when his mom passed. He called up the funeral home and the number was disconnected.

He had to scramble NYE to find somebody to take the body and then scramble and replan everything because the funeral home had been investigated by the state after a fire and was no longer operational

    > On the other hand, the housing shortage is still ongoing in the Northeast and Midwest, "areas the builders ignore," Gerli said. "You can see active listings in the Northeast/Midwest on re-sale market are still in a big deficit to pre-pandemic."

  19. tweet reference by another poster makes it seem like they've been around since '96 in some form
