- Could there be a difference in the social reward centers of the brain, based on gender, possibly from the biological necessities of having children? We know reward centers are not the same, between the sexes, since heterosexual attraction is the norm (and why gay conversion therapy can't work). Some brain structure and function is hard coded.
Could these hormone influenced reward centers differ in social rewards, or for human interaction? Computers are not human. Maybe [1], but don't expect much research proving it one way or the other.

- They can also include animations, emotes, outfits, etc.
There are some artistically impressive avatars out there.
- The surface area of the sphere at their altitude divided by 14k satellites gives each 16k square miles of surface area.
- I think it's just a 2d image made by randomly sampling points, with some 3d perturbations to those points.
- I have trouble comprehending how a collision would happen, in 3d space, even with a "14000 starlink satellites" (16k square miles each, on average), with something like 100ft being enough for them to pass over each other.
I thought most of the maneuvers were to maintain large margins of safety, not prevent definite collisions.
- Well sure, but that's the only possible way to lose money: costs are more than profit from sales. See "profit margin". R&D is a cost that can't be avoided. In this case, that cost was so much more that they're cancelling the program.
- As with all but a few EV manufactures [1], they were losing money each sale ( >$30k)[2].

- you should travel more. you'll find the actual average truck stop bathroom (i mean a truck stop, the kind that truckers stop at), with warm running water, and electricity, is a first world luxury.
remember, the average income of the world is $9k/year. truckstop bathrooms aren't so bad. something like Love's are NICE.
- if you have a family with daytime viewing habits, projectors are basically a no go. 100" tv, with better brightness and black levels, are getting down to $2k range. they only make sense for > 100", and you'll be sacrificing some quality for a bit of viewing angle, usually recovered by scooting your couch a bit closer. i like bright, which is why i no longer go to theaters, which never did make the transition to HDR that they promised over a decade ago.
- To be fair, the world is a truck stop bathroom, on average.
- No, it's a bad fit. it would be pure marketing. Lipo slowly destroy themselves when charged. Lead acid slowly destroy themselves when not charged.
- It's literally one of the reasons ECC RAM exists.
- Wait until they hear about the physics/maths related to neurons firing!

If you don't know the answer, and are only rewarded for correct answers, guessing, rather than saying "I don't know", is the optimal approach.
- > Apple should receive no commission for the security and privacy features it offers to external links
I'm not versed in legalese, so maybe I misunderstand. Isn't it reasonable that Apple receives money for a service they provide, that costs money to run?
- Sure, but defrag is a very slow process, especially if you're re-bloating (since it requires shifting things to make space), and definitely not something that could happen in the background, as the player is playing. Re-bloating definitely wouldn't be good for a quick "Ok, I'm ready to play!".
- > Apple's most expensive offering is something like $1000-$1500
Same with Samsung, S25 Ultra ($1100 to $1460) [1], with the fold starting at $2k [2].

- > to recover the space when they're not actively playing the game
This would defeat the purpose. The goal of the duplication is to place the related data physically close, on the disk. Hard links, removing then replacing, etc, wouldn't preserve the physical spacing of the data, meaning the terrible slow read head has to physically sweep around more.
I think the sane approach would be to have a HDD/SDD switch for the file lookups, with all the references pointing to the same file, for SDD.
