  1. okay, that did not work as well as I hoped. TODO: full engine re-write
  2. Merry Christmas to you too! I'll be adding a plugin extension to Large World Coordinates in Unreal Engine inspired by Constructive Reals. It should let me use arbitrary precision, meaning I can make objects excessively small or large at distances excessively large or small in the engine.
  3. I am currently working on a desktop application for 3D spreadsheets.

The first version of the code looks like this, https://youtube.com/watch?v=rJuRTZOE99g

The new version is much more feature rich, catering towards the user. Unreal use in Python is now native and users can launch a dedicated server.

The development process can be slow, lots of waiting on compiling and cooking. The Python part of this project is great. Code is very simple and readable and I'm building out a renderer for the geometric algebra package I'm using, Kingdon. This lets users quickly visualize 3D elements, lines, points, planes, and shapes. Working on non-web stuff is great. I love building out UI and text in 3D, it feels like the final form of UI and is a lot more expressive than web UI. Controlling objects in 3D let's you do a lot more. Everything feels right.

--- I am a full-stack developer with over 5 years of work experience and a Master’s degree in Computer Science. I’m a strong generalist; I’ve done everything from server management, to database management, to standalone SaaS products, to deploying full react apps. I’ve designed and built systems for NASA JPL, KBR, Boeing, Mitsubishi, numerous universities, and many more accredited businesses. I enjoy working with functional languages (LISP, Haskell, Typescript, etc.) and in fast-paced development environments. I am seeking a full-time or part-time position where team members design elegant solutions to difficult problems.
  5. Check out https://github.com/recursion-computing/starcel-panda3D for bleeding edge, but not refactored to be pythonic, Python OS development.
  6. Great work! I was just about to build something very similar in Python using a 10 dimensional projective geometric algebra described here https://youtu.be/VYZHdEkLgC0?si=admkfiQwxIjHBa3Y?&t=90
  7. You can compose and filter data using python and its libraries. One included lib is Plumbum

I think this should be enough, but I could be wrong

  8. Hi Everyone! I built this 3D desktop environment, CLI, and visualizer tool. I am currently using it to control a few hardware devices, so it is my operating system for those. It's in very early stages and has many updates in the pipeline. It is written in UE BP, C++, Python, React, Javascript, HTML, and CSS. The included videos describe plans for new features and major updates including a new 3D Python IDE. I would appreciate any feedback on it!

  10. VVVV reminds me of a 2D TOOLL3
  11. If you want a successful channel within the next few years, you need to upload frequently. At least once or twice a month. You will be rewarded greatly for uploading faster sooner.
  12. Good. One great archive is better than none.

AI rips apart conscious intent and reassembles it using what may best be described as piecewise functions. We lose the intricacy and the detail of individual thought of the unbroken line of thinkers that came before us when we interpret such piecewise functions as conscious intent.

  13. This is great! It would be immediately useful to me if the trained dataset was uploaded to ArcGIS online so I can access it as a data layer through the API

  15. I don't personally use it, but you might find Blockpad interesting https://blockpad.net/
  16. Congrats on hitting 1.0! Props to the team for adding digraph support to published vaults early on.

Anyone can check out my public Obsidian vault here: https://notes.recursion.is

And I made an introduction video for it here: https://youtu.be/tTFK-V3hdAw

  17. Which reminds me of this Ted talk from 12 years ago, https://youtu.be/b6YTQJVzwlI Pointing to the future of UI
  18. I'm working on the incompleteness theorems, human-centered artificial intelligence, infinite spatial systems, and more https://recursion.is https://notes.recursion.is https://recursion.is/youtube
  19. Any other popular email clients deteriorating? Yesterday I tried to search between 2 dates on gmail and it wouldn't work. I tried using their UI to set the dates and it wouldn't work. I had to manually click through 3 years of emails to get to the dates I wanted.

BTW, I only read the title.
