  1. Ever hear of reading the article you comment on? There was no mention of "moving all at once". As stated, moving the capital from Tehran "would take decades"...
  2. Perhaps this bit from the article is more concrete: "Tehran's five reservoirs plunged to 12 percent of capacity last month"
  3. If you have a build command that does not specify version for things like 'dontnet-ef', your build might fail because it is not compatible in .NET 10, so update to specify version, e.g.

dotnet tool install --global dotnet-ef --version 8.0.8

  4. The solution is to disengage online. Just get off. I look forward to a social-media-less retirement.
  5. Dexter and his brother Brian are perfect examples of this
  6. It would open in a new tab (or specifically, window) if there was no object named "blank" for it to target. The problem with that is subsequent links with the target "blank" would use this same new window. Links with the target "_blank" would each open in individual windows
  7. The title should have been something like, "Revealing the email address"...
  8. Prank calling was definitely still alive and strong in the 90s. At least they were we me and my friends. And not the "heavy breathing" kind, just silliness. In middle school I spliced a phone cord so my friend and I could prank from the same room. When we got 3-way calling, we would be able to prank with each other from afar AND we could each call another (unsuspecting) party and get them on a you-called-me call together. Good times :)
  9. One of my kid's teachers sent out a warning to students that all essays would be checked with AI detection software and the repercussions one would face if caught. A classmate did an AI check on the teacher's warning and it came back positive for having been AI-generated.
  10. Exactly. He also ends his post with a "separate" boast about poaching one if WPE's engineers. It's so obvious that this is just a giant FU to WPE and nothing else

  11. I work for an agency that is part of a (very) large holding company. The IT dept for the holding company mandated that all agencies within to host their WordPress sites in WP Engine. I manage the sites for my company and two sister agencies, and just between the three companies there are 18 sites, not including the Dev/Staging variants! There are over 1500 agencies...granted not all have WP sites, but I am certain that many do. So if this reflects on the IT manager who made this call, it would be hugely magnified!
  12. I hope Matt can supply his legal team with conversations that would somehow justify his behaviour. From my (incomplete) reading of the complaint, he (Matt) does indeed look very "petulant". It's almost like he's intentionally self-destructing, which is why I hope for his sake that he has more tangible evidence to share, especially after reading section 201.
  13. I've been a WPE customer for about 3 years and have never been confused by the "WP" in their name.
  14. WPE isn't cheap and subscriptions are typically yearly contracts, so it's not that simple for those operating on a specific budget
  15. The author is Matt Mullenweg, co-founder of WordPress!
  16. Learns to crawl isn't accurate but it raises interesting questions about sentience. A better title would be “humans learn to build robot that uses mycellium's bio-chemical reactions to stimuli to pilot a robot”…Kinda long though and not really eye catching ;)
  17. Why is he using the CSC logo?
  18. You can do this with Beyond Compare (it's not free, but not very expensive either) https://www.scootersoftware.com/
