  1. > Palestinian man is ok working with the Saudis At least it isn't the UAE but... really? Still happy for him though.
  2. Looks gorgeous, will try on Darkplaces.
  3. Sure, but bulky chinnok helicopters flying low to the ground and barely getting shot at? Smelling an inside job honestly, especially with rumors of trump wanting have Venezuela's current VP ascend to the presidency instead of the other investor lady.
  4. True but you don't need advanced defense to take out slow moving helicopters, the fact that nobody used manpads is extremely suspect. Also in syria the russians did token airstrikes while jolani's forces blitzed through the countryside.
  5. As someone who failed an accounting class I will definitely read this.
  6. Lol asked the same thing on his website
  7. Oh wow will definitely give that book a read, very interesting.
  8. Been hearing about this project for years, nice to see that it's gaining traction! Only question is that if they use captured Co2 initially or if they have to produce it.
  9. Enabled webgl/webgpu and it still doesn't work on my end with Librewolf
  10. Good stuff. Bit unrelated but I am excited for the imminent wave of lightweight Servo based browsers, will finally let people break free from the Blink/Gecko duopoly.
  11. Very fascinating article.
  12. Since we're talking about stirling engines, I've always wondered how using geothermal heat for a larger stirling engine would work.

    https://youtu.be/duuk_r--lqU?t=99

Even though the video uses the sun to heat the oil, I would think it would be feasible to use geothermal heat instead.

  13. Personally I'd think its different, smartphone apps usually have tons of dark patterns and are designed to always be with you versus a desktop or even a laptop.
  14. Haven't used matrix for a few years now, last time I used it everything was a slow, buggy mess.

    >device verification

Kinda weird because it's a protocol, but then again matrix is extremely centralized.

  15. IMO banning smartphone sales to kids and teens would be far more productive than digital ID shenanigans.
  16. Read the Great Taking book, it's a bit kooky in some places but a good read nonetheless.
  17. IMO it's an economic problem (GDP must always rise because reasons) and the hedonic treadmill at play. I would even argue against the complexity point and rather point to overengineering being the root cause; an example would be using a robot arm to automate a cup of coffee instead of using existing vending machines for that purpose.

    > potentially your own skills stagnate as you rely on LLMs more and more.

There were some papers from microsoft that highlighted this point https://www.microsoft.com/en-us/research/wp-content/uploads/...

  18. IMO the biggest issue is the lack of aftermarket cheap battery replacements, and the fault of that lies on car manufacturers.
  19. This is the end result of forcing private companies enforce ID verification.
  20. Buy precious metals.
  21. >MECHEN M30

I actually have that mp3 player, it's alright but you can't upload your own playlist files (granted I haven't looked into custom firmware yet).

  22. Doesn't work on Librewolf
  23. I thought signal used some form of XMPP?
  24. Well shit, that's happening right now.
  25. Is there a headphone jack?
  26. I think that's already the case with some TVs.
  27. Another chromium fork, no thanks.
  28. What about GNU taler?
