  1. They write the following reason in the article: But as the web and other internet technologies mature, certificates are starting to be a requirement in order to unleash functionalities, especially in web browsers, such as the faster connection protocol HTTP/2 and payment processing.
  2. Status page shows degraded performance: https://www.redditstatus.com/
  3. As for point 1) I fully agree. I'm using it a lot currently due to lack of alternatives, mainly with java. Swagger codegen is the one I've had most success with, but both openapi and swagger codegen shares the same problems.

For internal projects we use grpc which is a breeze to use in comparison.

  4. Just checked, press the calendar and click meet now.
  5. How is even possible to retract a loan guarantee? I doubt that's possible in other countries
  6. Not sure everyone agrees this is a good method

    Quoting from https://www.finedininglovers.com/article/can-passive-pasta-r...

"The response was swift, and it came from starred chef Antonello Colonna. The Roman cook rejected Parisi's solution, claiming that with this procedure the pasta becomes "rubbery", and impossible to serve in a high-level restaurant. Colonna considers the method a failure and proposes cooking on an open-fire grill, with pots that have fed entire generations like a cauldron. The chef claims this traditional low-temperature technique lowers electricity costs in his restaurant."

  7. Each country has more than one zone. Also the rate varies hour by hour
  8. Knit pick, the screen shot in the beginning of the post shows a postgresql server transformed into an mysql server.
  9. If you set overflow: hidden it seems to do the trick on chrome at least
  10. Did a brief scan of the repo. Looks like a lot of it comes from adding new headers. This commit adds +#include <linux/wait_api.h> to 1627 files for instance.

  11. At least on Model S 2020 the windshield wipers are controlled normally on a stick to the left of the wheel. Maybe it's an EU/US difference.
  12. Getting everything back up again will probably be a nightmare. Imagine all the internal services trying to reach a consistent state after such a long outage.
  13. I don't see why 0 should be treated as special value. Initial should be used if meant to "disable" it.

What if you want margin: 5px as the general rule and margin: 10px on the last element. Is 10px a disabling selector?

  14. In the long run it would've. It was mandatory to pay if you owned a TV. They tried to collect it for people having laptops / mobile phones but it was ruled illegal in the courts.

Instead the government replaced it with a new tax which seems more fair.

  15. To me it’s a bit ambiguous if the original question is about both html and xhtml. It’s tagged with both
  16. Also the kotlin example is using coroutines
  17. Looks like it supports generating class files up to java 16 https://kotlinlang.org/docs/compiler-reference.html#jvm-targ...
  18. Currently loading="lazy" is not supported by safari https://caniuse.com/loading-lazy-attr
  19. When xhtml was popular internet explorer was a major blocker for using it properly. I never saw xhtml served with the proper content type at the time.

I don't see a reason to mix html and xhtml today. It will only lead to problems. (I.e using self-closing tags and &amp; mismatches in urls)

If you use <div/> in html the browser will just ignore the end / See https://jsfiddle.net/sw8j9fo2/

  20. xhtml was never supported by all major browsers. You couldn't do stuff like <div/> and get away with it.

Not sure why the the self closing tags became widely used

  21. I think the impact of a low ttl is negligible for web sites. It would at least be nice with some actual measurements. The first visit wouldn't be dns-cached anyways and subsequent page loads will have other static resources already cached.
  22. When using android you would most likely be signed in to google already.
