  1. inline and ; are redundant
  2. That's exactly what apgcc from Autopackage provided (20 years ago). https://github.com/DeaDBeeF-Player/apbuild

But compiling in a container is easier and also solves other problems.

  3. It's actually doable without an old glibc as it was done by the Autopackage project: https://github.com/DeaDBeeF-Player/apbuild

That never took off though, containers are easier. Wirh distrobox and other tools this is quite easy, too.

  4. You can choose the version. There was apgcc from the (now dead) Autopackage project which did just that: https://github.com/DeaDBeeF-Player/apbuild
  5. Same as Windows. Instead the system freezes.
  6. Then Android gets forked.
  7. GrapheneOS has device attestation support on Pixel devices, i.e. it passes SafetyNet. It's just that some apps (e.g. Google Pay) explicitly exclude it.
  8. Yes wirelessly via an USB dongle.
  9. Most of Android isn't GPL, so I would guess not.
  10. Already exists. LineageOS, /e/OS, GrapheneOS, to name a few.
  11. Well you can. But then it has to be completely your own software (i.e. OS).
  12. Bad example because that .pkg was probably signed with a developer certificate with approval from Apple - just as would be the case on Android in the future.
  13. You can still install software on it.
  14. > btw, does anyone know if Huawei is following along with this in their fork?

They are moving to their own completely proprietary OS called HarmonyOS NEXT.

  15. Using x86_64 laptops???
  16. If you open a .cpp file it will silently download clangd in the background. Same is true for other language servers AFAIK.
  17. Well with that thinking you can't use an OS by any corparation???
  18. We don't know yet. At the moment side-loading still works without restrictions.
  19. Couldn't you install with adb without rooting?
  20. Multiple alternatives already exists. Or how do you define "fair"?
  21. How exactly is it aggressiv? I'm selling games using OpenGL on iOS, iPadOS, tvOS and macOS, works with all of their latest hardware. I'm not getting a warning or any sign from them that they will remove support.
  22. No, Discord would create a new challenge for every user by creating a random nonce.
  23. In my experience Open Street Maps was very good there.
  24. If they wanted to block Signal why wouldn't they start with the Play Store version which 99% of users use?
  25. Yes and it has already been done: https://e.foundation/ You can also buy a phone preloaded with it: https://shop.fairphone.com/the-fairphone-gen-6-e-operating-s...
  26. So it wouldn't require a lot of work because LineageOS has already done the work and is open-source.
  27. I have a cpp file that takes 10 seconds to compile. I change one line. How does ccache help me in this case?
