  1. Hi! When will Windows/Linux be available? I'm growing weary of DB Browser for SQLite.
  2. I don't think I heard about this at the time; so much crazy $#!T going on in the world. That agreement is crazy:

    > According to the draft lawsuit, Facebook agreed to reduce its participation in header bidding in return for "information, speed, and other advantages" that would come from staying with Google. Facebook allegedly would receive a guarantee of 90% of auctions regardless of the bids; 300 ms to bid (vs 160 offered to others), along with the ability to identify 80% of smartphone users and 60% of web users.

  3. "Deal under discussion would lower credit-card interchange fees for merchants, but could make it harder for consumers to use rewards cards at the register"

Surprise! The consumer loses again! It's always somehow benefiting everyone but the consumer. Too much control, not enough regulation. People shouldn't be bilked out of funds by paying to use their own money. We are shouldn't be _forced_ to use these service companies for making payments.

  4. He did note that in the article. It's under 1). at the bottom as well.

    > "I realize PowerShell is cross-platform (I wrote this on macOS) but good luck evangelizing it to teams used to Linux."

Well, this is about his _own_ use no? So why not just use powershell in Linux? If it's good, tell us why. I actually am in the same boat. I spent a lot of time learning it, and I do know bash, but not as well. If there is a happy medium here, it's nice to hear your experience about that. Not just say 'well good luck convincing others'.

  5. ok.. so your solution is using at minimum a $5/month service. Yikes, I'd prefer something like pushover before that. :/
  6. What about all the people that live in the North, like Finland, etc?
  7. Feedback: A way to export data would be nice.

  9. "Do not confuse inexperience with creativity"...
  10. You refer to yourself on the website, but we know nothing of you or your story. Also the connection to Finland would be curious too. That said, I have wished similar for some Finnish words when they get 'smushed' together. It's not always obvious that it's two words, and you can potentially break it apart to get the meaning easier.
  11. Sorry to send dense, but it says No-hole surgery. How then, is the 'ink' delivered to the right location for this to work?
  12. That was a hell of a wiki dive. Thanks. Tragic story :(
  13. I came here thinking I would be one of the first to say this.. ha! Seconded then. Keep a good exclude/include list, and make sure to export a copy.
  14. I was thinking about joining them to try it out.. but now I feel yucky.
  15. Key findings and implications:

    1. The court rejected IA's fair use defense, finding that its digital lending practices merely substitute for and do not transform the original copyrighted works.

    2. IA's activities are likely to cause significant market harm to publishers' e-book and digital licensing businesses, which outweighs any public benefits of expanded access.

    3. Allowing widespread unauthorized digital copying and distribution, even by a nonprofit, would undermine the fundamental purpose of copyright law to incentivize creative expression.

    4. The ruling highlights the tension between expanding public access to knowledge and preserving authors' and publishers' exclusive rights over their works, which copyright law is meant to balance.

    5. The decision sets an important precedent limiting the ability of digital libraries and archives to widely distribute copyrighted works online without permission, even if the intent is to increase public access.

  16. I have some freak brain (and IKEA experience) which usually let's me do IKEA pretty well. What was it that happened in your case? I'm curious what brought you to that point.
  17. Do it! I don't live in Australia or have on of these systems, but I was intrigued by how the OP had gone around the company to save themselves 1500! I'm curious to see how people are resolving things like this, so that if I have issues myself sometime, I have ideas on where to start or what is necessary :)
  18. When I visit the link, I see nothing about the network or anything. It's just a login page, and then a signup option. It's not clear what I'm signing up for, or what data is needed and what service is provided. Making me reluctant to sign up for something where this is not even a demonstration or example of what access provides..
  19. Constructive criticism: This sounds interesting, but it's lacking tangible examples. What does the interface look like? How do you share things? Are repositories private or open? Are there public repositories for collaboration? I understand the problem you're addressing, but the direction is unclear.

Respectfully, the current webpage and explanation don't provide enough detail to entice me to join the waitlist.
