- hiccuphippoI guess you would need to cast the index to the enum or you get a type error, which should narrow down the possible error locations.
- I don't understand what you mean by texting tool. Do you mean text rendering? kerning?
- It's like xml vs html, some people really like their markup to have explicit closing/self-closed tags, others don't really care and expect the user-agent (the reader) to parse them correctly. Same with semicolons in Javascript.
- I'd extend it to all copyright but instead of "active development" make it a nominal fee every 10 years, so anyone that doesn't mind their work becoming public domain 10, 20, 30, etc years later can easily let it go.
- Was it rebuilt in Jai?
- I'd argue once it is controlled by those in power it stops being called journalism and becomes propaganda.

- There was a markdown library called upskirt, the authors were bullied into renaming it. They called it Misaka, because that's an anime character that uses shorts under her skirt.
- Is Kafka (as in Apache Kafka) a good name?
- I remember a trend of randomly dropping vowels started with flickr.
- Woah, they actually fixed it? I mean, they are still using a poor man's sleep that uses up a core in the CPU instead of just using sleep, but progress!
- Does this mean people with SSDs are wasting space, expensive space, for the sake of people with HDDs? I hope other devs take notice. Maybe they could even keep two separate builds in case the loading time is too much for HDDs.
- It uses the development version so it keeps in sync. I don't think we'll see many changes in the language itself before 1.0, they are no longer accepting changes to it. Most changes from now on will be in the Standard Library.
- No, this is a different Zig book.
- Apparently, yes. My guess is it was the Shai-hulud npm malware leaking their Github keys.
- 3 dollars is like a week of bus fares here and I remember a friend would walk back home from school to keep half the money.
- Youtube is both 10x and 0.1x the quality, and the official app has no way to filter it. They even removed the feature (downvotes) to let the user filter it.
And the proliferation of AI videoslop is only making the 0.1x side larger and larger
