  1. Yep, but maybe learn to cook so when they come home it's all good.
  2. Samsung says they don't have spare parts! Oh well, best not spend that much next time. I really like the authors other blog posts, such as https://befinitiv.wordpress.com/2021/07/06/turning-a-usb-fan...
  3. Australian government uses voice recognition to identify callers for calls to Services Australia, is this the same kind of thing?
  4. Its just a shame about the quality of the food itself :)
  5. But they are not before the TV, the Telegraph, the Film, the Printing Press or the Story.

I'm not sure they are 'valid' but they are interesting. I think its more of a negative take, to highlight difficulties. I don't think they are always true. For example "4. The more we communicate, the worse communication succeeds." seems the opposite of say televisual political messaging which relies on bombardment of essentially false information to convey meaning and proposed societal behaviour.

  6. This is a great online open access resource. I remember when you had to buy the book.

Stanford deals with modern British and Americal philosophy very well. I do not think they do a good job of understanding or explaining continental philosophy very well. Doe anyone know of any continental philosophy online open access encyclopedias?

  7. Some sources, you might want to move the heat away (ie, CPU), maybe these loads of pipes they have are the same. But yes, point taken, insulation first. Ockhams Razor: don't multiply entities beyond necessity.
  8. Oh, a flexible, chained peltier.

"The 72-couple device exhibited the highest reported output power and device power density from a single thermoelectric generator, the scientists said" https://www.psu.edu/news/research/story/form-fit-device-wrap...

  9. Thank you for that strawman. In a world with two choices, I take the third. Lets open up dialouge, not close all doors but two.
  10. There have been no planes or tourists coming in for two years now? What backpackers?
  11. Are you at high school? I quit at 16 and started doing things I like. Then later I went to University and got a job through there. My best coder friends dropped out of same university to get a good education and then got great tech jobs. //

My advice, if you can interact with people on this site, can get your Karma to 50 through upvotes and being part of discussions, then you will be able to teach yourself and go in your direction faster than what school can do for you.

  12. I had a look at the servers for rent through your affiliate, and I did not like that they have 'drip'pricing - starts out at 7.40AUD or so, then the add ons come, like server location or decent RAM. Then on logout they offer e 50% off coupon, so I go back, choose a server and nowhere to put the discount code! SO awesome service, Ilove it I'm going to set up a a server, but maybe look for a better server provider with clear pricing. Also their servers in Sydney were down, so thats a flag also.
  13. We do things like this all the time in AU, and it's great. So many cultures and yummy food here, great to give the kids a chance to share.
  14. I guess the way is to verify and check the model over the coming years against the open data which initiated it... so we'll see :) these things can get quite chaotic when taking externalities into account.
  15. Very nice, I think there is a great future betweeen social and private.
  16. That is very nice, maybe in future you can have a non-commercial use version for a lower free / fee?
  17. you don't need the STI checker either, oh well ;)
  18. Gives a nice historical context to the rise of the computer. Might want to fact check a lot of stuff though - it includes a lot of major moments that some people might remember differently.
  19. I heard it was aweful if you've read the books. Couldn't be more different.
  20. I would say that 'citizens' are one of the concerns of au gov
  21. yes, the Aus public know nothing of these things. there is no media here.
  22. Write more. It's great. Have you seen Sam Simmons tv series Problems? You might like it. Its not related, just you might like it.
  23. You can buy in bulk at chinese store and add some smoke flavour or paprika and wham! New Product! (Oh No!) :)
  24. This post does look like an advertisment. I think there may be something in it for some people, so make sure you link to some evidence or provide a more personal and link free account.
  25. OMG thats soo yummy!!! // Followed by a night of headaches and sleeplessness. I understand not everyone gets the side effects though.
