- As a young person working remotely, I just realized the value of that this week; breaking up my workday at the climbing gym has helped me feel less isolated. I enjoy my solitude, but I still need to socialize during work hours somehow. While there aren’t many people at my climbing gym around noon, those who are there also seem open to chatting or being a climbing partner.
There is also a cafe upstairs which is convenient for lunch and the second half of the workday.
- I usually find a coffee shop with large enough tables intended for laptops. I just enjoy being out and doing work on my 15” screen from time to time.
- I also use DDG and would use a shop. I used to even repair iPhones for myself and others, but I just don’t have the tools or expertise these days.
- Wouldn't increasing voter turnout be an upside? Reducing the loss of productivity of those participating? Voting electronically is dangerous today, but I still see it as something to work towards. However, I imagine that would require incredible innovation towards multiple layers of robust identity verification protocols.
