- f_allweinWhich calendar is that? I haven’t found one with a decent year view similar to the one here.
- I understand Twitter posts are still shared here, even though I would often (usually?) have to log in?
- Then check out the Pomodoro technique if you haven’t done so! I’m always amazed how much I can get done in 25 minutes of focus.

- As a German, I would guess on the one hand, there's not enough digital skills in the broad population. Also, entrepreneurs historically tended to flock to classical engineering roles (= making internal-combustion cars).
- agree! other notable examples include MP3 and the GSM standard. Oh, and the World Wide Web...
- You could also take the Queen Mary2 from Southampton to New York. 8 nights, from 920 GBP: https://www.seat61.com/queen-mary-2-transatlantic.htm

- Hack I learned recently: take pictures of all your bookshelves. Then you can search the text on the spines (author, title) in your photo app.

- One thing I haven’t heard yet about Liquid Glass: Glass is good for looking through it. So an OS based on this could be ideal for Extended Reality. Having iOS resemble visionOS more might be a step towards using iPhones as XR devices. Could we then potentially see a fancy Apple version of Google cardboard in the future, where you use your iPhone as an AR device as well…?

- Random thoughts:
- are there any measurable factors indicating someone is a good match? Okcupid claimed to match people with others who gave similar answers to their questions, but I had some fates with a high match % and still no chemistry.
- speaking of chemistry, check out https://smell.dating/ . No idea if it works, but at least it’s a novel approach.
- people have different goals, from finding love to sex/ friends/ … (and may not be open about this). Can an app take that into account?
- I heard from several girls that guys sometimes open conversations with direct sexual remarks, which violates the mind set of „natch - have a conversation - get to know each other irl if there’s any chemistry“. How to handle this?
- In the longer run, give up the old deep tube lines. They could be gradually replaced by Elizabeth Line-style tracks (larger capacity, fewer stops, good air conditioning).
- The Productivity Paradox is officially a thing. Maybe that’s what you’re thinking of?
