  1. Whatever the pasta is now, it cooks quite differently. You'll get softer noodles much quicker, and will congeal into a blob unlike the old recipe. Additionally the water gets extra starchy with the new recipe. I haven't seen it mentioned anywhere else but the quantity per box has decreased as well. Special shapes came in smaller weights, but now even the regular box does too.
  2. There is config you can add to your ~/.claude/settings.json file for this. (I'm on mobile!)
  3. So we could be run over by a black hole at any time, too? How wild is that!
  4. There are certainly very real humans deciding if this target gets hit or not and why.
  5. God I love Hacker News.
  6. The animation also shoves the mobile site down one line at a time, so if you skipped ahead because you're trying to read complete sentences, you get an unpleasant experience.
  7. From a comment above, this should be, at least partially, doable with MCP: https://github.com/penpot/penpot-mcp
  8. The 2nd version is the most idiomatic.
  9. I welcome this change. I wonder what the actual resulting impact will be, however.
  10. > Researchers used Lawrence Livermore National Laboratory’s exascale supercomputer El Capitan to perform the largest fluid dynamics simulation ever
  11. In-Ride Ads coming soon to a car ride near you
  12. It has been a pleasure learning and practicing Rust with Bevy. Making games, simulations, and art is why I started doing all this anyway.
  13. We should call Trump Derangement Syndrome something else. Pretending only some people are deranged is asinine.
  14. The about page does mention only public data is used, but the map is missing an office I used to go to got bought out. They started pushing 3D x-rays every visit despite not being covered by insurance, and other unnecessary operations and add-ons. Ugh.
  15. If someone tells me one thing and delivers another I am never going to default to "happy" and be quiet because I "should be thankful" for the deal I did get.

I don't know what world that failing to keep your word is OK, but just because an entity is a company doesn't give them a free pass. No matter how good the deal is.

  16. This tech is incredible but it will be very divisive. Leadership of the current leading company notwithstanding, novel implants such as pacemakers have also undergone a stage of social caution that I would very much expect to surface for brain-interface devices as well, if not more fervently due to an increasing mistrust in technology's utility in our lives.

I am personally hopeful for this technology. I know it will be able to improve the lives of loved ones who both need and want it. I am also afraid of a technology that can decide my thoughts one way or another...

    That said, I'll take two.

  17. Hmm. I've been watching some old shows taken from VHS and some of them look like cursed AI upscale. One series was titled as AI upscale, and another wasn't. Both looked a bit rough. Wonder if this is why.
  18. The killswitch activated automatically when his user account was removed from Active Directory after termination.
  19. I did not need this reminder.
  20. Amazing. I love how heptopods have a role in this. Best of luck to you and your family.
  21. I know you're joking, but I can still think of legitimate reasons to trigger an age gate on such an account.
  22. You're attacking me personally when I was agreeing the contents of the comment in an objective manner.
  23. That is one way to apply the most extreme label to something that may not fit the mold.
