- Where I work, I can't give anything is not a word document to anybody else in the company. A python notebook might help at creating the figures for example, but I can already do that with QGIS layouts.
If the working environment allows for checking/reviewing within the notebook, I guess this could help automatise things.

- ISP with the right to football goes to court to report themselves (not a joke) about piracy happening in their networks.
An old man judge which understand technology as much as I understand biochemistry (nothing) decides that they need to stop piracy, His solution is to give laliga the power to block those illegal streams, that all ISP must comply for the time that a match exist. The judge covers himself by saying, that the blockage can't affect third parties.
All ISP happy comply. It does affect third parties.
Cloudflare (third party) puts a recourse to say that it is affecting their business. The very same old man, decides, that is not going to proceed with that investigation.
So cloudflare needs to to through a different slower legal procedure.
Meanwhile, we have a company with the authority to block what they want thanks to corruption.
- The easiest way is with a programmable plug, it does not have to be smart, just set it up to charge the phone for 1 or 2 hours at the cheapest, or available by solar, the rest of the day the phone will use battery as usual. Is the battery cooked? Then set it to be half an hour every 4 hours or so.
- Easier than that, I do not often publish on hacker news, only when I find something that could be interesting to read the comments on. And I though the field there was for a subtitle, rather than that it was published itself as a comment.
If you ask me, I am on the "conspiracy" team. Too much coincidences, to much interests, and very few plausible explanations.

- Because it is an extremely futile exercise.
I have a bug in my Honor (200 pro) phone were after some time, whatsapp's notifications with no sounds are changed by the SO automatically to Gentle Notification (no popup, only number on icon) I want to have a popup, but without sound. I might have reported several times, well, they have not done anything about it.
I also reported something to Lutris just to be told, not our problem wont fix. which is the same feeling of, why have I bother doing this.
And after a few of those, if you have a bug, you moved on. In this case I regret going with Honor instead of Samsung, and it would be likely the last Honor phone I got and I do not recommend to anybody. And with Lutris, I would rather use windows and be able to see my screen instead of a black box when logging into epic.
If you don't fix the bug, the user will stop reporting, and will find a workaround.

- I think the main issue is... hardware.
There is a reason why I have 0 problems using linux on a raspberry PI, yet everytime I try to install in a real computer I got lying around I got a myriad of nosense problems which are particularly hard to solve.
If we want a new OS we need to make it for certain platform which is always identical in terms of hardware. I would say a PS3, Steam Deck, or Nintendo Switch would be good candidates.
They have plenty of identical hardware units in the market, and you could focus on the OS rather than supporting strange hardware issues.
You missed my favourite from the list: ReactOS
- What do you have in mind?
I was thinking in using it for a blog, but I am afraid of having everything in a single file, and that making some mistake will render the whole site useless.
Also not sure how hard would be to manage once it starts to grow... Maybe it needs to grow significantly more than I can before this is a road block.
- I have found someone who uses the anchor suffix to solve the problem:
https://john-doe.neocities.org/
I am not html expert, so I have no idea how complicate or what implications would that have.
- I am going to say something that I haven't found anywhere but it has been my experience with every single battery replacement I ir somewhat close had.
The new battery, even if it's Samsung original, it isn't as good as new, it is better than the old one, but not anywhere close as first day phone.
Why? No idea. I imagine that although the battery is new it was built circa when the model was in production and somehow that has affected its capacity.
So you get a phone, you pay 60/80 euros, and you get maybe, two hours more of battery when a new phone would give you 6 or 7.
- Pixelfed is already what you are looking for. You could contribute yourself, fork it, or just use it in your server.
What I don't see often, and I think it was a neat idea is a copy of Path. A social network for a very very small set of people to share their things. I think path was like 2 members.
I imagine that just a whatsapp/telegram conversation chat is more than enough for this case tho.
I have a Honor 200 pro, and the software is buggy and constantly replaces user configurations with their defaults every 3 or 4 days.
I would avoid anything Honor in the future at any cost.
