  1. I mean it's _every_ robot with valetudo, but I don't think any manufacturer sells their robots with valetudo preinstalled.
  2. I think the distinction here is they want an app that never NEEDS to be updated, not one that never DOES get updates (which is fair – I'm happy if things just work and are not changed every 2 weeks).
  3. I searched so long for a single screenshot, looking at the app stores (in my browser) and Github with no success.

It really is weird not to show a single screenshot when the 4th listed feature is design ("Material You | Extra theme that follows your device palette").

  4. My job requires the whole modern pipeline with Vue front ends, Quarkus services and k8s deployments and it's suitable for what we do in our teams.

But I have dozens of websites I built and am still building today in the way described and it works just as well for me. As a single developer with "simple" websites it's just great to have so little mental load when fixing some small things.

Admittedly I have a small script to upload stuff via ftp (if ssh/rsync is not available), so no FileZilla anymore :)

  5. It seems plausible that an agentic AI will notice that it's running in a Docker container while debugging some unexpected issues in their task and then tries to break out (only with good "intentions" of course, but screwing things up in the process).

Claude or Gemini CLI absolutely will try crazy things after enough cycles of failed attempts of fixing some issues.

  6. Yeah that's really bad news.

I too have LibreChat deployed for my personal use and now the only question is how long until it will inevitably be enshittified/monetized.

Must feel even worse for volunteers who worked on the project but don't get any benefit from the aquisition.

  7. It's been a while so I can't really answer your question. But in a localized Excel version i can NOT use the english formula names. So after you googled a solution for your problem, you also need to find out the translations...
  8. Yeah the clock game is weird. One solution was "fünfundzwanzig vor zwei" which I never heard in my life (native German). At least in my region one would say "fünf nach halb zwei" or "Ein Uhr fünfunddreißig".
  9. As someone not from the US and looking from the outside: it seems there is a _significant_ difference between the two administrations in this regard?
  10. Yes, as a non-American, HOAs seem so strange to me. It seems like most of those issues could be resolved by the existing legal system (destroying other people's property, dumping stuff in public areas, etc.) or by the city's regulations and codes.
  11. > (Hint: Musk was right and his engineers were wrong. Both times.)

This is a really useless statistic. How many times was Musk wrong and his engineers were right? We don't know, we only have those two hand-picked examples from a less than neutral source.

  12. Yeah, that title is absurd. The page contains 175 "class=..." attributes.
  13. You can use `-webkit-tap-highlight-color` on your website or PWA and distribute it any way you want. It will just not work in non-webkit browsers like Firefox.

What apple does and what the article talks about: They have a CSS property that ONLY they can use, you can't put that in your PWA, it won't work (no matter the browser).

  14. This is becoming a problem for me: I like to use LibreChat to interface LLMs (Gemini, GPT-x), because it allows me to pay by usage (instead of 20+ USD per month) and keep a (tiny bit) more of the data under my control.

But the offerings of ChatGPT or Google's AI Studio surpass the feature set of LibreChat by a lot. It used to be just a "better" system prompt, but now it's a lot more.

  15. I'm confused. Am I missing the ''buy now'' link, or is this actually not a real product? I think it would sell quite well as a fun gift.
  16. Did you comment in the wrong thread? How is Michelangelo's David "rape porn on loop"?
  17. What is the currently favored alternative for simply running 1-2 models locally, exposed via an API? One big advantage of Ollama seems to be that they provide fully configured models, so I don't have to fiddle with stop words, etc.
  18. Yeah, it felt like two different styles (one very short, the other a little bit more verbose), but both very different from a plain query to GPT without additional system prompts.

So this might just test how the two models react to the (hidden) system prompt...

  19. Now you are at the Trolley problem: shut down the machine to (maybe) save one person, but preventing all MRIs for the next x weeks, causing y indirect deaths?
