  1. i have an acquaintance that uses chatgpt to ask it the lotto numbers. people are definitely using the tool, the purpose may vary.
  2. op looked at their way of using the tool and assumed everyone else used it the same limited way
  3. so what is the choice? build an in-house office suite (and all the extra functionality)? use a sub-par alternative that doesn't even cover all the features?
  4. people've been confusing the title and alt tags since like IE4
  5. it would've been nice to be able to visualize the differences between the different accents in the spanish language, really cool tho
  6. > You can't make sweeping statements like this, software engineering is a large field.

    that goes both ways

  7. > but i normally assume protestors get permits

can't help but find this hilarious (also not american either)

  8. should've been called roost
  9. go to the feeds tab, it's all there
  10. i always find it funny how ppl shit on facebook as if any other social media site was orders of magnitude better. facebook is as shitty as you make it to be. follow shit reel creators and it will be shit. get into shit awful groups and it will be shit.
  11. chrome on a celeron laptop, barely if any lag
  12. you could say the same about taking a picture of a special moment, it's a souvenir, people have been keeping things that remind them of past experiences since like forever
  13. i can guarantee you horses can and do annoy people for fun
  14. for the same reason some people have made run doom on evrything with a bit of processing power and a display, for the funsies
  15. no and that's exactly why those sanctions are bullshit
  16. it was worth responding to i guess
  17. nice to see that you have no problem seeing things from another person's POV
  18. the software/architecture analogy works in many other ways, some concepts on functionality, reusability and modularity are very similar, but i guess that works for any complex system created to solve a user-specific problem
  19. sounds like a really niche requirement to make such a strong statement. if there are no more tiling desktop environments it is because there are not enough users for them to be in such demand.
  20. HN does exactly what OP wants tho? view as guest view/comment/vote as registered user
  21. that's hardcore
  22. reading this from chrome
  23. well... yes, that's what trust means
