  1. how has it paid off for you?
  2. great work. Lots of opportunity imo, competitive leagues, universities, etc. Too bad I don't have the experience ya'll want
  3. My initial idea was to go B2B, a simple camera device per court that flashes red on out of bounds shot. Let's businesses provide a quality of life upgrade.

looked more into swing vision and there's so much to it, looks like a great tool

  4. Just had this idea the other day playing some pickleball too. Would do the business a little differently though
  5. Hey Jared, just applied for a future SWE role. In case my resume gets missed, I want to say I really enjoy making learning feel intuitive and fun.

I've taught 100s of kids mental math (abacus/soroban) for ~10 years, well over 5000 hours. Taking kids from beginners to very high level required of me to get creative with teaching styles, gamification, engagement, and ultimately helping kids build grit and to enjoy the process. In person for 5 years and a few years remote before ultimate closing that chapter.

Would love to do integrate it professionally :)

  6. super cool. Out of curiosity, I studied Mech Engg and have been a dev for 4 years in the cloud / SRE, python, data wrangling world.

Would a masters in CS / Mechatronics / Electrical Engg open up doors to jobs like this?

  7. awesome! Bigly interested in the fullstack role, I will write you a cover letter. Providing high quality education to 100s of kids for years has been one of the more rewarding jobs and would love to contribute another way.

I have relevant experience in telemetry, cloud / ci/cd, automation testing, UI design, devops, and have a rudimentary knowledge of RAG and LLMs.

  8. just curious, approx much does this earn?
  9. Hey!!

I'm very interested in working with DDOG. Would love to quickly chat to see if I'm a good fit and what I can do over the next few months to become a stronger candidate.

my summary: I have 3 years of reliability engineering as a mechanical engineer + 1 year in tech (python + aws + kubernetes + ci/cd)

Strong communication skills, growth mindset, entrepreneurial experience :)

  10. Hey Alex, are you able to hire remotely from Canada for the Jr Engg? I'm authorized and also have a corporation setup for invoicing if need be
