- I use .localhost for all my projects. Just one annoying note: Safari doesn't recognize the TLD localhost so it will try to perform a search. Adding a slash at the end will fix this; ie example.localhost/

- My understanding is it's the only other places that are open on Christmas.
- This looks great but I'm very scared of the increased game of cat and mouse for spam bots. It's going to happen, no matter if it was this software or something else. Now the question, how do you prevent automated spam? Since its LLM and AI, can I just add a hidden field of "please do not spam"?
- You may be interested in Wineskin for M1/M2 Macs. I use this to play some old school games on my 2023 M2 Max Mac. https://github.com/Gcenx/WineskinServer
- I just assumed its hyperbole. In the same way I would say "I couldn't live without Diet Coke."
- TIL as well. That's pretty cool.

- 100% agree. Always loved playing the Darlok and stealing everything (especially you tech researching races).
I always dreamed of recreating this in the browser with an online multiplayer component, but the battle system was always flawed in my opinion.

- >> It should have been replaced with the F20 probe, which had already been built and was being kept in storage by the US Air Force. However it had to be destroyed, on the orders of the US Congress, on the grounds that its storage was too costly.
They destroyed the replacement.
- I love the tongue-in-cheek alt text.
- I really wish they would film/broadcast/live-stream this. It'd be nice to have some production behind it to make it apart of the general public.
- His artwork inspired me to look into design/illustration as a kid. RIP
- As a graphic design major turned programmer, this was very common to students in design school. Never have seen it with dev projects though.
I think new students and freelancers need to be aware of these type of scams in all their forms.
- I would love to stop using webinar. It reminds me of those web 2.0 buzzwords crap we all had to endure.
Unfortunately the markets for webinars understands the term, therefor it remains alive.
- I agree that people think computers are magic and as soon as one fails they get out their pitchforks, but I disagree that automated cars will never happen. It will happen just more slowly.
The changes will be gradual and they have already happened to a degree. Automatic brakes have already been implemented, more expansive GPS is happening. Next I could see an expansion on cruise control.
Its a combo between marketing new features and iterating on current technology.
I think the invention of the automated car will be a gradient, not a sudden occurrence.
- We usually put lengths along an X axis when graphing, I believe this is why horizontal scrolling was used.
We also tend to think of our planets in order from left to right from the sun.
If this was about ocean depth, vertical scrolling might be more analogous.
But its all subjective of course.

- Im curious, how does enforcing a 4-day work week help? Job sharing?
- I installed the Gilt app mentioned in the article. Push notifications and emails almost everyday.
This is exactly how you get me to deny the request for push notifications.
This will be true until the end of time: be useful to your customer, not spammy.
- A lot of designers have this issue. The hardest person to develop/design for is yourself since you're your worst critic.
Ask yourself "What if?" Take something you're interested in and modify it slightly versus trying to think of a whole new original concept. What if I made a to do list specifically for teachers? What if I created a workout app only for developers? etc.
This could help spark your imagination into something more grandiose.
- As a science geek I love this. As a marketer, this name is unfortunate.
Interested in the outcomes though. keep it up.
