  1. The pendulum swings back.
  2. What PM thought this was a good idea? This has to be the result of some braindead we need more AI in the product mandate
  3. That is an easily falsifiable statement. If I ask ChatGPT or Claude what MCP is Model Context Protocol comes up, and furthermore it can clearly explain what MCP does. That seems unlikely to be a coincidental hallucination.
  4. I think the apt comparison is the rental car business. They are reasonably good at quality standards because the competition is stiff, and if the vehicles aren't reliable and clean, you will just use the company next door. This incentivizes prudent fleet management, and thanks to economies of scale, having in-house mechanics to constantly maintain the fleet quickly becomes cost efficient.
  5. I always found it ironic that Intel benignly neglected the mobile CPU/SoC market and also lost their process lead despite this supposed culture of never underestimating the competition. The paranoid Intel of the 80s/90s is clearly not the one that existed going into the 2000s and 2010's
  6. I can buy 3 or 4 x JetKVMs for 1 PiKVM, pretty hard to justify going for PiKVM unless there is a PiKVM feature you need
  7. Its remarkably straightforward. Not fool-proof, but easy. Bacteriostatic water, single use needles/syringes, and self healing injection port vials makes it simple to maintain sterility throughout the process.

Multiple doses can be mixed and stored in the fridge for 4-6 weeks.

  8. > I have such a hard time imagining a sub 250g drone under 50ft being justifiably something that the state can deny people in such a huge radius.

    Ukraine would like a word

  9. What if you don't have any talents. (Or at least havn't discovered it yet) I seem to be quite mediocre at everything.
  10. I knew this day would come.. but not this soon.
  11. Dell did pretty well after going private
  12. Most likely for the foundry business
  13. There are millions on the lower bound of bacteria species we havn't identified, trillions on the upper bound. Unknown bacteria are literally everywhere, but the simple act of finding and sequencing them is nothing to be afraid of.
  14. Sounds like Shopify has some leverage then to open a line of comms with Ruby Central. "Explain yourselves or we will pull funding"
  15. The USA has proven to be... incapable of completing any public transport infrastructure anywhere near on budget or on time. This is a deeply rooted problem. Until this gets solved autonomous electric vehicles could theoretically just leapfrog the problem altogether. Point to point transportation also mostly solves the last mile problem.
  16. Omarchy auto installs the nvidia drivers and fixes if it detects an nvidia card. https://github.com/basecamp/omarchy/pull/13
  17. While promising, be VERY skeptical about efficacy claims of these early stage research drugs.

Tons of drugs in the pipeline that goes after these promising receptor targets. PD-1/PD-L1, CD47, CD40 (as mentioned in the article) etc. Keytruda (PD-1) is an incredible success both clinically and commercially, but there are many many other drugs buried in the clinical trial cemetery that initially showed promising results.

    Medicine is really hard.

  18. Semantically, AI has always been a superset of ML. So it's always been correct to call machine learning AI.

All machine learning is AI, not all AI is machine learning.

  19. iPhone hasnt been a status symbol in many years. Its as mainstream as a Toyota Corolla.
