  1. There's also Truth or Consequences, NM named after a game show (I believe?)
  2. Yep that's it! I ended up just buying a headset for gaming, since I use the other one for mostly music anyways. Solved the issue there. There were some workarounds I could try but I needed a new gaming headset anyways, the padding on my old one basically just fell apart after almost 7 years.
  3. Just an anecdote but I've been running it for a few months now and at least for gaming it works well. Arc Raiders plays fantastically. There is an issue with one of my headsets that when you get in game the audio quality drops to dogshit but I think that's a bigger issue with the headset on Linux and not particular to Cachy.
  4. Yep, I lived in an apartment off Poway Rd (Sabre Springs) and we were perfectly placed in a valley where cell had "signal" but didn't work very well if at all.
  5. That's a very CA viewpoint. I moved from CA to NC and as long as the onboard computer isn't throwing a code and your emissions stuff (appears to be) in place they don't care. I have two vehicles that are tuned and they pass emissions no problem. They can see this (different means per manufacturer, I think BMW throws an invalid checksum and Ford does it by key trigger count or something) but since the vehicles are still blowing clean it's fine.

We just had a few counties discontinue emissions checks and now only do safety checks up to 30 years past which they don't inspect at all.

  6. Is the anontalk guy still up to his shenanigans? It's admittedly been a very long time since I've used 4chan.
  7. If the reviewer simply looked at the app description or opened the app they would have that context. Not hard. Just laziness.
  8. I'm in Android 15 beta with my P8P. Zero issues. So where are the problems I'm supposed to have?
  9. You couldn't pay me to buy that shit. There are other electric options that make more sense.
  10. Huh TIL, I like the song in question interestingly enough (Yung Gravy - Betty) but didn't know that the Rick Astley bit wasn't actually his voice.
  11. Agreed, the first (and only!) time I went skydiving we jumped from 12k feet and can't recall feeling any difference in my conscious state.
  12. From upset to upset I suppose. Being perpetually upset has to be tiring.
  13. I got one of those bills as change on NAVSTA Rota back in the early 2000s, it was neat to see the path it took.
  14. When I worked at SIE in San Diego the culture was still there, and very much so. Location does not matter.
  15. 800-444-4444 still works. Even starts with "thank you for calling MCI"
  16. "Damage caused by car washes is not covered by the warranty." in the owners manual seems to contradict that statement.
  17. Also interested in other tools. I don't mind working on the command line but Lens (and OpenLens later on) has been my tool of choice for keeping an eye and managing on our K8s stuff.
  18. Their physical store is pretty awesome, ended up buying a boxed copy of Toejam and Earl for PC there.
  19. To Spectrum's credit they seem to be doing a lot of fiber for new builds. Our 1gbit plan is symmetric and pulls those speeds consistently, but yeah their coax footprint is stuck with lower upload, high/low split coax areas should see 500mbit upload at some point but who knows. The state of internet in the US is awful in most places.
  20. If you want avoid using activation scripts, build an enterprise ISO with UUPDump and then use vlmcsd to activate it. All I can say is that way has worked for about 5 years so far with no issues...
  21. And dreams even years later about having a cigarette and then waking up and wanting a cigarette... I started smoking around 13 or 14 and quit at 27. Still have those dreams once in a while seven years later.
  22. Yep, our son has learned he can "throw" his farts toward our noses with his hands and does it every. damn. time. It is hilarious but man that kid is stinky.
  23. There's alot of neat Quake stuff on Github. Another repo of interest may be this one: https://github.com/SpiritQuaddicted/quake-code-archives -- I have a local copy of tons of RuneScape code: server implementations, clients, bots, etc. May need to get it presentable and posted up sometime.
  24. Yeah that drive already sucks, stopping more than necessary would make it worse. We drive from Raleigh to around State College a few times a year and usually make one stop to eat and stretch our legs. A four year old and a dog sitting around waiting for a charge would add on to that stress.
  25. Yes indeed, it's roughly a 20 minute drive from us so we'll go there if we're heading to/from somewhere on I-40.
  26. Love these sorts of places, the Redneck BBQ Lab by us is attached to a gas station and serves some pretty good BBQ. Always a nice thing to find a restaurant like that.
