- Yeah, we're working with folks to add more and more, but like any online service it takes time to fill the database with info and that takes exposure to know it exists.

- I'm currently going through this now myself. I'm 42 tomorrow and I'll have been programming for 27 years. I'm just so tired of it all, but I don't want to lose the joy of programming. Im trying to just go freelance and be in charge of my own destiny. We'll see where it goes.

- I have noticed that most laptops under 14" have those 1/2 keys, but once you go to 15" the overall weight increases a lot. The only 14" laptop I've used with full arrow keys was the System76 Galago Pro Gen 3 (galp3).
- I've been using https://www.goatcounter.com and it works great. Nice and simple and I can turn off some tracking features for things I don't care about.
- I agree. If I ever get a new machine it will be a Lenovo. The build quality is amazing.
- Haha. I have adapted to that too, but why even bother with 1/2 keys then. The look like an afterthought.

- I've been very happy with https://apricityos.com running Cinnamon desktop.
- For side jobs I always use http://statamic.com since it is all flat files that I can edit in a text editor, but my clients can use the GUI admin. I can use Git with it and you can turn it on for the admin to so any edits made by the GUI are committed as well.
I am good friends with the creator as well, but I would still use it otherwise.

- Nice list. Though it would make it easier to scan if the domains were floated left and not in columns like a newspaper.

- If you are going for CS then just stick with a state school education. I regret going to RPI and Harvard and ending up with enormous school loans, but at the time I thought I need to be at a well known school in order to succeed.
